Ideally situated in the beautiful area of Intake, near Sheffield, Ascot Lodge is a purpose-built care home which offers dementia care.

From Care Assistants and Nurses, to Wellbeing Coordinators and Chefs, each and every member of the team at Ascot Lodge is there to help you or your loved one settle into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the Home Manager leads the team to ensure every resident is fully supported.

The catering team at Ascot Lodge care home understand the nutritional needs of older people and work hard to not only create delicious meals but also to ensure a lovely dining experience for residents and visitors, all set across a number of welcoming dining areas. The large garden and patio area is also perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining during the warmer months.

The dedicated and professional care team seek to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests, allowing them to design a comprehensive and varied activity programme, supporting residents to lead an active life where there is always something to look forward to.

Since my brother has been here he has been looked after very well. The staff try to help in any way they can. The only problem is there is not enough staff at times to deal with all that is going on. But they try their best.

Communication between home and staff is very good particularly if Dad is ill or fallen. Immediate help if Doctor or Dentist needed. All staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Dad is clean and physically well cared for (nails, haircuts etc). Activities to stimulate, gardening, singing, music, films.
We can visit any time. Dad is treated with respect and kindness and friendliness by all and he has settled in and is as happy as can be expected. No urine smells in home - very clean - comfortable surroundings.

Since dad moved to Ascot Lodge he has settled quickly and he appears to be a lot happier in the environment he is in.
The staff have been more than welcoming and it's a very relaxed home-like atmosphere. I would highly recommend Ascot Lodge after searching extensively we found this home ticked all

The staff here are outstanding and make every effort to get to know the residents well, making individual adjustments and understanding their needs and quirks. My Mum really enjoys the food and, even though she is on a soft foods diet, each meal is nicely presented. She has been able to take part in
activities such as light shows and gardening club which we, as a family, have really appreciated. There is a very welcoming atmosphere.

My mum was not just "looked after" but "cared for" at Ascot Lodge. The staff were always there to talk to us if we had a question and had never-ending patience with my mum through all the swings and turns of her awful dementia.

I am very pleased with the care my husband has received whilst he has been staying in Ascot Lodge. He has problems because of diabetes and the nursing care has been very good. The care staff also are brilliant with him. The most important thing is he is happy.

The home itself is very safe and very comfortable and friendly.

My relative has been in this care home for a number of months and has deteriorated as part of her condition.


I feel she has been cared for well in an atmosphere welcoming and friendly to family and visitors who can visit at any time.


The environment is clean and light with all appropriate services

for the residents. Any concerns appear and have been dealt with promptly.

In general, the care home is very good. The manager is very efficient. Occasionally, agency staff need to be used which is a drain on finances. The care staff are very good but one or two care staff do not pull their weight.

Frequent staff changes mean we can no longer get on terms with staff. My cousin is blind and is not treated with the respect she deserves.

In response to your concern, our home has recently updated our Activity program - Included in our program are Monthly Entertainers, Chair Exercise and a Gardening Club.
There is a Daily program of Activity that takes place on different Units within the Home and I and the staff would be happy to speak with any relative to discuss personalising an activity program for their relative.
The home Manager operates an open door policy and all relatives and Residents are welcome to discuss any concerns about any aspect of the home at any time.

Sadly my aunt passed away in October after five years residency. During the whole of that time she was treated with the utmost kindness, compassion and dignity. The staff were wonderful, not only to her but members of the family and visitors. We were always kept well informed with regards to her medical
requirements and the progression of her dementia. They always took great care with her appearance which is exactly what she would have wanted. It was a great comfort to the family to know she was so well cared for.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jessica has gained more than a decade of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Jessica started her career as a Care Assistant and worked her way to Home Manager. She is very passionate about her job and believes in the highest quality
of person-centred care. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jessica remarked: “I get enormous satisfaction from seeing my Residents and Colleagues laughing and smiling together,”


Outside of work, Jessica enjoys getting out in the countryside with her family and her little dog.
