From Care Assistants and Nurses, to Wellbeing Coordinators and Chefs, each and every member of the team at Ascot Lodge is there to help you or your loved one settle into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the Home Manager leads the team to ensure every resident is fully supported.

The catering team at Ascot Lodge care home understand the nutritional needs of older people and work hard to not only create delicious meals but also to ensure a lovely dining experience for residents and visitors, all set across a number of welcoming dining areas. The large garden and patio area is also perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining during the warmer months.

Following the assessment that Mum now needs nursing care, I couldn't be more pleased that we found Ascot Lodge Care Home. They could not have done more to facilitate Mum's move even to the extent of the manager painting the bedroom the night before. The home is warm and welcoming with super friendly
staff and I have every confidence in their ability to look after Mum.

Our mother came to Ascot Lodge during the summer after a big decision. It's been the best thing we did. Ascot Lodge Care Home is a fabulous place with lovely staff. It could do with a freshen up to make it more welcoming. Today I have met the new manager, she was absolutely fab and couldn't do enough
for us. She was telling us about the changes for the future, can't wait to see them. Well done to the manager and your team.

I am constantly delighted when I visit my dad at how often I hear singing and laughter coming from different parts of the building. There always seems to be the bustle of activity and friendly voices. The staff treat everyone with dignity and kindness, and there seems to be a genuine desire for residents
to have some fun, with various activities and singsongs etc. It's a hard thing to do, to see a loved one need to go to a care home, but I've been enormously reassured here.

My dad has been in Ascot Lodge Care Home for around five years now. Throughout that time I have been fairly happy with the support and treatment my dad has received. Staff have been good and most do their best to meet my dad's needs. Management have been good as well. Recently a new manager has taken
over at Ascot Lodge and things really are changing for the better. I have had a couple of meetings with her about a couple of concerns and they have been sorted straight away. I can't fault her at all.

Throughout the four years that my husband has been a resident of Ascot Lodge, he has always been treated with dignity and respect. As his condition has deteriorated, everything has been done with kindness and a caring attitude to make his life as comfortable as possible. The staff get to know the residents
and what they like and make an effort to treat them accordingly. As a dementia resident, I have witnessed first-hand, their care for him and I am very happy for him to be in a place where he is so well cared for at all times.

My husband was in this nursing home for 18 months. He passed away in August 2021. Had it not been for Covid, I would not have left my husband in there. His room was never cleaned that well and he didn't have one at all for three days before he passed, I was with him, every day when I was able to get
in to be with him. Totally not worth the £1100 a week. Staff turnover was ridiculous, lost some good ones.

We continually review the ways our team support our residents and we have taken your comments onboard. Staffing levels are based on the dependency needs of our residents and these are monitored regularly. The home has a robust recruitment plan, and we will continue to recruit as we have done throughout the pandemic. Some staff have retired whilst others have sought alternative careers and these roles have been filled accordingly. The Home Manager operates an open-door policy and all relatives, residents and staff are welcome to discuss any concerns they may have so that they can be resolved appropriately.

Our mum was admitted to Ascot Lodge in December 2020 and sadly passed away in September 2021. Our family can't praise Ascot Lodge enough for the compassionate and dedicated care that they gave to our mum. During her stay there our mum's needs were always taken into consideration, such as being moved
to a different room, when she needed it, or fetching her different food to accommodate her needs in her final months. When I had a problem with an agency member of staff, it was dealt with promptly and very professionally by the manager, who is very approachable. I was left feeling very reassured that it would not happen again. There is a friendly warmth about the place that is a rare find these days. The GP practice linked to the home is also excellent. We as a family are so glad we chose Ascot Lodge for the final chapter of our mum's life. Thank you to all the staff at Ascot Lodge.

My mother has been a resident at Ascot Lodge Care Home for almost five years. Throughout that time, I and my family felt at ease, knowing that she has been well looked after. Any concern was promptly relayed back to us. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. She became one of their family

Mum is very happy and settled. Throughout the pandemic, we had confidence in how the home managed residents and the situation. Staff are committed to their jobs and the food and activities are very good. Particular strengths of the home are its cleanliness and safety measures.

Thank you for the care given to mum in respite for two weeks October 2019. The care home manager and her team of staff made mum feel very welcome, less anxious and was able to settle in very quickly.

Mum was in for two weeks of respite in May 2019. There are things that will be the same in any home (residents walking into each other’s rooms, marks on the bed). I visited Mum several times and I can honestly say the staff I spoke to were really nice, positive, caring and most importantly responsive.
If I asked them to change Mum/the bed, they did. Mum was in residents' rooms/beds but I guess this is impossible to police. Mum was happy and she smiled and laughed.
It’s a decent place, needs decorating and updating. Mum had a fall while there and we received a call as soon as it happened. She was completely uninjured.
The external front door is an issue and needs to be kept closed ALWAYS as it’s an extra barrier to stop residents, just in case they did manage to get through the internal security door. But don’t get me wrong, they are safe and would have to get through the reception door before they got to this external door I’m talking about. It would just be added security! We would use again.

Every time I visit, the staff are always lovely and you can see they care about the residents. They do activities and have trips out and my friend is happy here and is very happy here and is always saying how good they are which is good to hear.

My wife has been in the care home for nearly 7 years. During this time I have visited every day (except when ill or having a holiday) so have a good insight into the work carried out. Recent work, converting 4 units into 2 has taken place. This would appear a staff cutting exercise despite assurance
from management that this was not the case. It now transpires that staff have been cut to the disappointment of many, including staff members, some of who have now left and others who have confided in me that they are seeking other employ.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jessica has gained more than a decade of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Jessica started her career as a Care Assistant and worked her way to Home Manager. She is very passionate about her job and believes in the highest quality
of person-centred care. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jessica remarked: “I get enormous satisfaction from seeing my Residents and Colleagues laughing and smiling together,”


Outside of work, Jessica enjoys getting out in the countryside with her family and her little dog.
