Northfield Nursing Home

After a short stay in 2019, there was no doubt in my mind that when full-time care became necessary, there was only one place for my aunt and that was Northfield. When she was there previously, they had welcomed her and made her so comfortable she had no fears on returning. Thank you to you and your staff for being so caring.

My aunty was treated with dignity in her final days, which was amazing due to Covid-19. I also received help and support at her death.

Lovely staff. Dad feels very looked after. Lovely room. Very happy.

A good experience. I was looked after by the entire world. People from several North African countries, ex-Soviet block, most of Europe as well as local. All very caring. Very helpful.

Very clean rooms. carpet, bathroom etc. First impressions are poor as the reception area is dark and uninviting. Exceptionally poor parking facilities. As always, it depends on which staff are on shift as to the service provided to clients.

Could not comment on activities as my wife who has now passed away was bed bound but activities were apparent. The staff were fantastic and management helpful and efficient and well organised. My family and myself were always made very welcome and we have nothing but praise for this establishment.

I am impressed by the attitude of the staff to patients. However, there are often long waits for a response to a buzzer. I appreciate that this is due to insufficient staff. I would like to applaud the flexibility of the catering for individual requests.

The home does indeed deserve the title "home".

My father was a resident for eight months. He was well cared for by professional, considerate and caring staff. The home was serviced by an excellent local surgery who were well versed in the needs of the residents in care.

My dad was an NHS resident in Northfield Nursing Home for only a few weeks and he died there on 17th November. I was privileged to spend a lot of time there with him. He was always treated with compassion and dignity and every member of staff that I come across cared only about providing top quality care for the residents. My dad had the best quality of care that it was possible to have. I cannot praise the staff of Northfield Nursing Home highly enough. Thank you.

Family, when visiting, have always been made to feel very welcome.

My mother only received palliative care for a short space of time, but her care was excellent, we were kept well informed by staff and doctors alike. The admin member of staff who dealt with me was also excellent.

The actual fabric of the building is in need of some attention but did not detract from my mothers care at all.

My grandma came into Northfields Nursing Home for rehabilitation from hospital. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. They have really looked after my gran. I'm so pleased with the care she is receiving. The home is very clean, standards are very high. You always seem to hear bad things about care homes but never hear the good things. I'm so glad I've been given the opportunity to fill this form in.

The Northfield team did EVERYTHING possible to make that last week the best it could be not just for Mum but for all of us too. A difficult time was made easier, less stressful because of the respectful, informed, caring, competent way they managed the final days of Mums life. Thank you SO, SO much.
