The family found Howgate a very well run care home. The staff are very helpful in every way, especially in the last few days of my mothers life. A very well managed care home and thanks to the manager and all the staff.

Throughout mam's stay she has been cared for by people who do care! She has had consideration, professionalism and love - yes love - in abundance.
The whole team is managed superbly with staff contributing beyond what could be expected. The whole ethos is supportive, friendly and dignified. Carers
who secure a place here have no need to worry - they're very very lucky!!!

I found the the home was well run and very clean. The meals were good and plenty of activities were offered to the residents.The staff and management were excellent, very friendly and approachable and any queries were answered promptly.

I am very pleased with the level of care that my mother receives. Also the nursing care and I am happy that she is here. I find the staff extremely helpful and open to any questions asked. The management are always available which I find a good thing.

Staff always pleasant easy to talk to. Care of my mum always appears good, she seems relaxed and happy. Staff very good at contacting me if mum unwell and nurses always chat and give an update when they know we are visiting. Just one issue, wheelchairs are frequently parked in my mums room as if being
used as an equipment store. This has been raised so hopefully will not be an issue now. Very happy overall with mum being here, we looked at numerous others but happy we picked and got a place here.

My brother now considers this to be his home. He is very happy with the care he receives, the food, the staff and the general care provided. I find the staff very helpful, friendly and keen to provide whatever is needed for their residents. Although my brother has never complained I do wonder if the
beds are comfortable, the mattresses seem rather thin.

The staff are always looking after everyone's needs, dignity, care and polite even if a patient/resident gives them abuse. The nurse and seniors are second to none. Everything however small you ask of them to look into is immediately noted and acted upon immediately. Food is very carried and there is
something for everyone. Over all very happy so far as we have only been here a short time.

My wife was admitted to Howgate House on 7/5/15 having lost the use of her legs following breaking her hip in a fall. She needs lifting by two people which i cannot do alone. When I can take her out in a wheelchair she is reasonably happy but is unable to accept that she can walk or stand. She will
never be content unless I could take her home which is impossible. The staff of the home do a good job looking after her and me.
