I have visited now for around seven years, and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The home appears clean and warm and is a credit to the manager and staff.

What can I say, Mar and all the staff treat my dad with dignity and respect and always made us feel really welcome. We never wanted dad to go into care after a previous stay elsewhere but Mill Lodge were fantastic, from our initial visit Mar made us feel that they could cater to dad's needs (Parkinson's
and dementia). Dad's stay was brief but everyone at the home did there best for him.

My father was diagnosed with vascular dementia in May 2025 and his mental capacity has diminished quite quickly. It was soon evident he was unable to continue living alone. He moved into Mill Lodge Care Centre on the 12th August 2025. He has settled in well and in enjoying his new home. The staff are
always cheerful and attentive taking good care of my father's needs on a day to day basis. He is well fed and entertained enjoying occasional trips out with Mill Lodge staff. The Manager and Admin staff have been excellent , always helpful and understanding. I feel the rates charged are very competitive and the billing is easy to understand. All in all my father and family are enjoying a very positive outcome to my father's previous issues with trying to live alone and this is very reassuring to his family. I would recommend Mill Lodge as a good care centre to anyone considering residential care.

My Mum was at Mill lodge for over 8 years before passing away at the age of 94. She arrived at Mill Lodge, very poorly and was considered end of life given weeks to live by the hospital. The amazing staff and care she received at Mill Lodge enabled her to exceed all expectations, she went on to thrive
and live such a meaningful and happy life in the years she spent there. Outings, daily activities and social events, birthday parties and numerous celebrations kept her stimulated and involved and we as a family were included in many of those.
The staff, in all the departments of the home, became like family to both mum and myself and I was always made so welcome.
I work for the NHS and have worked in a care background for many years so I recognise high levels of care. I cannot stress enough my gratitude to all the staff for the care, devotion and friendship they gave my mum over the years, in short they saved her life and enabled her to live many more years than expected.

No complaints, for the previous manager, i think you need to check your records there was mountain of reports we had a complaint every day we have evidence of everything documented! the things you said to my mum if she carries on pressing her buzzer she will not be attended to i can post evidence if
needed also all the bruises she had and please dont say its my mums fault because she's thriving now and not an issue like you made out and safeguarding was massively concerned hence the reason you had to get equipment that you should already of had but didnt for residents like my mum and paid for the 1-1 after safeguarding got involved which makes me speculate was due to fear because of how bad things were She was frail when she was at mill lodge if you want before and after pictures please believe the results show how better my mum is doing! I could go on and on but dont appreciate we never put complaints in or that you cared for my like you should have you didnt she wouldnt be here now if she stayed here.

The care and support my mum has received since moving into Mill Lodge has been outstanding. She is so happy, she gets on so well with all the staff. Who by the way are the most caring people I have had the pleasure to meet. All the management team make you feel like one of the family when ever we
visit mum. It was her birthday in September and when I arrived to pick her up for lunch she had lots of balloons and banners on her door, and cards from staff. It was wonderful to see. I also have to say the food is amazing just like mum likes. Thank you all for caring so much about my wonderful mum . X

Mum was a resident at Mill Lodge and LOVED it there. When she was admitted she was given 2 weeks but thrived under their care for 17 months. She was treat like a family member rather than a resident and was treated with love, dignity and respect.
We were told she would never put on weight but thanks
to the award winning kitchen and lovely meals she gained 2 stone and that helped with her recovery
The staff went above and beyond arranging party's, day trips, not forgetting being her personal shopper, she did like her snacks!
We cannot thank the staff ( friends ) enough for all they did for her and the support we received as a family in her last days.
We were lucky to get a place here as we don't believe any other home would have shown the love and given the care she received. Thanks for all you did for mum and making us feel welcome and involved.

Our experience of Mill Lodge was outstanding.The care attention and dignity shown to our mum was beyond words. The respect shown to mum and the family was just amazing. We cannot praise them or thank every member of staff enough. We would not hesitate in recommending this nursing home.

My Father Henry was a resident for 2 years until he passed on 23rd March 2025. I have to say the Care and kindness he was shown by everyone at Mill Lodge was amazing. He was comfortable and well looked after in his final months. His wellbeing was always their priority. As was my wellbeing they made
everything so easy for me and his family and kept me informed about my Father's condition. I will be forever grateful to all the staff at Mill Lodge for looking after him when I couldn't. You all deserve medals for what you do and the way you do it. I would HIGHLY recommend placing your loved ones in their care.

When I first brought my mum in I received a very warm welcome and the staff/carers provided her with what she wanted to eat, although she was tired so sadly couldn't eat it all, but it was very good.
The carers are kind and willing to do their best in taking Mum's thoughts into consideration and making
it easier for her to adjust to her new circumstances. As for myself and my wife, we have been treated with kindness and empathy under circumstances that you never thought you would have to encounter. So thank you.

I found all the staff to be very caring and kind to my husband and kept him comfortable during his time there. The home is very clean and well maintained. I couldn't find fault with anything with anything within the care home.

I feel very fortunate to have found Mill Lodge for my elderly father. They provide a full range of activities for residents, including the odd excursion. The food and care are very good, including the cleaning and laundry. I've got to see my dad wearing someone else's clothes, something all of us would
find important. I've come to realise that the job of a carer, in particular, requires a greater deal of care and skill than I ever thought.

My mum sadly wasn't in Mill Lodge for long but the care and compassion she received from the manager and his staff was the best I could have asked for. I wish I had made the transition from her last care home a lot earlier, I would highly recommend this nursing home for your loved ones.

My mum has been in Mill Lodge for several years, she suffers with dementia. On my recent visit, my mum was happy and contented. It was great to see how well the staff interact with her.
All the staff are friendly, caring and always happy to help you. Every room is clean and laundry is constantly being
done throughout the day. All the meals are home cooked and it's a great environment.
There are activities happening every day of the week, and it's lovely to see how the staff care for the residents and involve them.
I am extremely happy with the care my mum receives.

Staff very friendly, welcoming, efficient and caring. Mother is well cared for with understanding and patience. Very impressed with staff/resident engagement with activities and outings. Accommodation very clean as is clothing and linen. Excellent team effort.

My 92-year-old father spent the best part of a year at Mill Lodge. Throughout his time there he was consistently well cared for. He began eating regular meals, put on weight and enjoyed the company of the other residents who, like the staff, were friendly and welcoming. I was kept informed about my
father's welfare by phone and email and was able to visit at any time. Thank you for caring for my father in his final year. The quality of care he received whilst at Mill Lodge was excellent.
