Overall Experience

I have found Springfield care home to be a very pleasant place in exterior and interior views. The staff are well turned out, very pleasant and informative to speak to. The food is first class. I have stayed to lunch a few times. The laundry service is very well run in terms of cleanliness, its only weakness is sometimes a resident does receive garments that are not theirs. I fully accept that it must be a difficult job to get right every time, especially when the quantity of laundry must be vast. I am very content that my husband receives an excellent level of care and safety at Springfield.

Springfield care home is wonderful. They have looked after my Mum with such dignified care and compassion.
My Mum went to the home originally for 2 weeks respite care and ended up staying for 7 weeks.

She enjoyed every minute of her stay and felt safe and secure the whole time she was there. The staff were really kind and helpful with her and have gone a long way to helping her regain her confidence which prior to her stay was absolutely none existent.

My mother has been in Springfield for 8 years and although suffering from dementia, she was a happy, smiling lady who was popular with everyone.
She first was admitted with her husband but sadly he died after a few weeks. She died aged 104 and the staff were very caring to the end. The family were with her and our needs were also catered for.

They could not have done more.

Springfield have an excellent team who always give so much to their dedicated roles. Care is superb.
Each one of the ladies (and chaps) are so pleasant, approachable and dedicated.
We have got to know quite a few by name now and we cannot fault the staff, the care or the property.

A great team of people.

As a nurse, it was very difficult for me to accept that I could no longer care for my mum at home and that she would need to go into a residential home. On my initial visit, all my worries and concerns were allayed as it was evident that this was indeed a place that delivered excellent care. The staff are outstanding in their commitment to delivering the very best of care. The atmosphere and ambience is very comforting and welcoming, a proper homely feeling.

Unfortunately, my mum died a few weeks ago after suffering from dementia for 15 years. The care she received was second to none. I have worked in cancer care for nearly 30 years and have never seen such dedication in providing mum with the very best of end of life care. This enabled me and my family peace of mind, that everything was being done to ensure that she was comfortable and cared for. I am immensely grateful to the wonderful team and am honoured to have known you all. Thank you

My mother has been resident at the above care home for the last 13 months. Sadly she died this week but we cannot fault the service she received. All the staff make the home, happy and safe. My mother would always say how well she was looked after within the home.

Lots of activities were on offer if you wished to join in.

I am very impressed with the dementia unit. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. They sing, dance, chat, cuddle and give time to everybody. As I do not live locally, this is so reassuring for me. When you walk into the unit, there is a lovely atmosphere, I feel I could not ask for any more for my mother in her twilight years.

I have been a resident of Springfield since 14 March 2017. My relatives chose this nursing home for me.
My wife passed away in February 2017 and I could not look after myself properly, I have had five strokes, four right sided and one left sided I walk with the aid of a "quad walking stick" and wear a calliper on my right leg.
Since coming to Springfield I am walking about outside and inside within this lovely HOME, I am doing this and my exercises on a daily basis (except Sunday, when I'm taken out by relatives).

All the staff and residents have made me feel welcome from day one. I like all the company here and I, myself like to think that I get on with everyone. I have nothing but praise for ALL carers and staff and it is my privilege to be living here and to call Springfield my home. Everyone here is my FAMILY.

Our mum is well looked after and her needs are met by friendly staff. We are informed when mum has not been well by the staff who look after her.

We feel that as our mum deteriorates, her standard of care is adapted accordingly

Springfield is a large busy care home, The standard of care is very good and caring.
My mother is 89, frail and with advanced dementia. I believe the care she receives is unlikely to be bettered elsewhere.

The staff are polite, informative and approachable.

My mother had been a resident at Springfields in Bradford for the last two years until she passed away in January 2017 at the age of 87.

I’ve been so impressed with the team throughout the time Mum had been in their care. From day 1 their understanding and empathy with someone moving into a new environment has been exceptional – they put a very personal touch to a professional service, not easy in a highly regulated environment. They have taken the time to get to know Mum properly, what she enjoyed/ what she didn’t enjoy (!) and I think it’s a glowing testament that the team has stayed together all the way through – residents with dementia need consistency and the very low level of staff turnover has ensured that Mum has been happy and settled throughout her stay. It’s a special sort of person who has the patience and empathy to be a professional carer. Facilities, cleanliness, safety are all good - thank you for looking after my mother so well.

My Dad had vascular dementia and went to live in Springfield. As soon as we went to look around, not a pre-arranged visit, we were welcomed by the reception staff and carers. My Dad only lived there for 5 weeks, sadly he had a stroke but died in a place which showed genuine care, compassion, empathy and love, not just for him, but for us, his family too. It is one of the hardest things putting someone you love into care, but Springfield is by far the best I have ever been to. Thank you for making his last few weeks happy.

Springfield has a welcoming atmosphere. Residents relatives are welcomed to go to the home when they want too. Relatives are able to make refreshments, stay for meals with residents. The staff assist residents with respect, they create a happy atmosphere. They get involved and participate in activities. Lead office have always kept me informed of any issues of illness that my mum has had. Children are also welcomed when visitors are coming.
