Anchor’s Springfield is located in a quiet location in Buttershaw. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 99 residents in single en suite rooms.

Residents have a choice of five spacious lounges and a landscaped garden area with raised flower beds, with easy access to local travel routes and amenities for those who wish to remain as active as they can amongst the local community.

Care needs are met through individual, detailed care plans which are designed with care staff, residents and their loved ones. The care staff receive on-going dementia training to ensure their approach reflects best practice and they can provide high standards of care for residents with dementia.

The care and love shown to the lady I visit has been overwhelming. The ways she has been encouraged to take part in all the many varied activities have helped to keep her stimulated. She could not have been looked after any better.

Building and decor very impressive. Totally surprised by how the design and ambience were achieved for the public spaces.
The personal rooms were basic but clean and well fitted. Lots of flexibility was allowed for personal touches.
The food was good (we are there one lunch and several snack times).
Staff
excellent and plentiful. Always cheerful and patient.
I was very happy to leave my 89-year-old mother in their care.
She has Alzheimer's, is mobile and talkative but forgetful and needs reminding to do basic stuff. Mum liked her stay but forgot it as soon as she left.

Coming from caring professional backgrounds our priority when Mum required the additional support offered by a care home was that her dignity would be maintained and her care needs met in a place of safety by compassionate professional staff.
Many homes were visited however Springfield immediately
gave us reassurance and confidence that we had found the right place.
All staff were outstanding in their commitment to delivering the very best care for Mum which gave us peace of mind knowing she was in excellent hands and safe. As Mum’s health deteriorated staff were extremely responsive to her additional needs and very quickly engaged other professionals thus ensuring her end of life care was as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Also their support and commitment to us as a family throughout Mum’s time at the home was exceptional.
Mum recently passed away at Springfield. Over the last 18mths, we regularly visited and observed the excellent care and compassion shown by all staff.

From arriving at Springfield, my wife was at ease. She was comfortable and settled in very quickly. She was at the home for 18 months and in all that time had only praise for the manner by which she was looked after. She required much attention and she never had any complaints to me or the staff. From my first impressions, I recognised that Springfield really cared about my auntie and myself. The staff spent time giving us both reassurance making us relaxed and confident in the care they provided. The carers constantly provided that kind of professional care with a personal touch. My auntie

My stepfather was in Springfield on respite for approximately 3 weeks with a view to him staying as a permanent resident. He was settled and getting into a routine but died in his sleep. He was 94. Whilst in the care of Springfield he was cared for, chatted to and treated with compassion and patience.
The staff were happy and jolly and the management always there to listen and act on any requests for my stepdad from myself.

Springfield cared for my father from August 2018. He was welcomed into the home and was very happy for the short time he was there. Sadly he became ill at Christmas and passed away on his 85th birthday. I cannot commend the management and staff for their excellent care and compassion shown to my dad

My mother was in the care of Springfield from April '18 to November '18. The staff made every effort with her to ensure she was included (although they often met with resistance). It was reassuring to know they were monitoring her eating at mealtimes as she was eating very little. There were phone calls
when anything changed to keep me updated (sometimes there could have been better communication between staff). The atmosphere was always welcoming, most staff know me by name. The décor is bright and the set up homely. There is the opportunity to make a drink which was much appreciated by my sister who had lengthy journeys. After my mother passed away, the staff were supportive, respectful and unobtrusive. I would recommend Springfield, in fact, I have an aunt and uncle who have recently moved in.

I have found Springfield care home to be a very pleasant place in exterior and interior views. The staff are well turned out, very pleasant and informative to speak to. The food is first class. I have stayed to lunch a few times. The laundry service is very well run in terms of cleanliness, its only
weakness is sometimes a resident does receive garments that are not theirs. I fully accept that it must be a difficult job to get right every time, especially when the quantity of laundry must be vast. I am very content that my husband receives an excellent level of care and safety at Springfield.

Springfield care home is wonderful. They have looked after my Mum with such dignified care and compassion.
My Mum went to the home originally for 2 weeks respite care and ended up staying for 7 weeks.
She enjoyed every minute of her stay and felt safe and secure the whole time she was there. The
staff were really kind and helpful with her and have gone a long way to helping her regain her confidence which prior to her stay was absolutely none existent.

My mother has been in Springfield for 8 years and although suffering from dementia, she was a happy, smiling lady who was popular with everyone.
She first was admitted with her husband but sadly he died after a few weeks. She died aged 104 and the staff were very caring to the end. The family were
with her and our needs were also catered for.
They could not have done more.

As a nurse, it was very difficult for me to accept that I could no longer care for my mum at home and that she would need to go into a residential home. On my initial visit, all my worries and concerns were allayed as it was evident that this was indeed a place that delivered excellent care. The staff
are outstanding in their commitment to delivering the very best of care. The atmosphere and ambience is very comforting and welcoming, a proper homely feeling.


Unfortunately, my mum died a few weeks ago after suffering from dementia for 15 years. The care she received was second to none. I have worked in cancer care for nearly 30 years and have never seen such dedication in providing mum with the very best of end of life care. This enabled me and my family peace of mind, that everything was being done to ensure that she was comfortable and cared for. I am immensely grateful to the wonderful team and am honoured to have known you all. Thank you

My mother has been resident at the above care home for the last 13 months. Sadly she died this week but we cannot fault the service she received. All the staff make the home, happy and safe. My mother would always say how well she was looked after within the home.
