Springfield

I am so happy that my sister and I chose this home after looking at several. The environment is so welcoming. The decor in communal areas is lovely with lots of nostalgic touches for the elderly residents. My uncle loved the jukebox but the main reason for my recommendation is the staff who showed nothing but the utmost care and compassion.

Very pleased with the care my mum received. The home is clean, good food and a lovely garden.

The love and care from the staff that my mother and myself received through her final days were outstanding, I cannot thank them enough. God was smiling down the day we found Springfield.

The care that the staff gave was good. Very likeable people and caring.

My grandma has stayed for respite in the past without any issues, but on this occasion, we found that communication was poor. We requested that Gran have her hair done but this did not happen. Gran needs support to eat, but when we visited staff had sometimes left her to her own devices, and as a result, she lost weight whilst there despite being already at risk of weight loss. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

My mother was a resident here for over 2 years. In all of this time, her treatment was nothing short of first-class. Every single member of staff deserves medals for the way she was looked after.

Very caring and considerate staff who do a difficult job with kindness and compassion.

The care and love shown to the lady I visit has been overwhelming. The ways she has been encouraged to take part in all the many varied activities have helped to keep her stimulated. She could not have been looked after any better.

She has Alzheimer's, is mobile and talkative but forgetful and needs reminding to do basic stuff. Mum liked her stay but forgot it as soon as she left.

Mum recently passed away at Springfield. Over the last 18mths, we regularly visited and observed the excellent care and compassion shown by all staff.

My wife has had a lovely, comfortable, very caring two-week respite. We went to Springfield on the recommendations of two close friends/neighbours. I am totally satisfied and looking forward to further respite time next year. My total gratitude to everyone at Springfield, knowing I could go on holiday and my wife was in good hands. Thank you.

All the staff who have dealt with my aunt were helpful, pleasant and very professional. If we had to use Springfields again I would have no hesitation in using them again, everything was excellent we have no complaints.

All the staff have an excellent manner towards the residents of the home. We very much appreciate the care that was given to Mum whilst she stayed there. Thank you very much.

We are very happy with the care and attention our mother has had whilst at Springfield. The staff have been extremely attentive but at the same time have always been professional. We have always felt she has been well looked after during her time there.

From arriving at Springfield, my wife was at ease. She was comfortable and settled in very quickly. She was at the home for 18 months and in all that time had only praise for the manner by which she was looked after. She required much attention and she never had any complaints to me or the staff. It was a great relief to me to have confidence in the staff.

Nice home with plenty of caring staff. Always obliging and helpful. Home was well maintained and kept changing and being updated to keep the environment interesting.

From my first impressions, I recognised that Springfield really cared about my auntie and myself. The staff spent time giving us both reassurance making us relaxed and confident in the care they provided. The carers constantly provided that kind of professional care with a personal touch. My auntie felt important and special due to the quality of the carers. I have no hesitation in recommending to others this care home.

My stepfather was in Springfield on respite for approximately 3 weeks with a view to him staying as a permanent resident. He was settled and getting into a routine but died in his sleep. He was 94. Whilst in the care of Springfield he was cared for, chatted to and treated with compassion and patience. The staff were happy and jolly and the management always there to listen and act on any requests for my stepdad from myself.

Springfield cared for my father from August 2018. He was welcomed into the home and was very happy for the short time he was there. Sadly he became ill at Christmas and passed away on his 85th birthday. I cannot commend the management and staff for their excellent care and compassion shown to my dad and support to myself and my family.

The care at Springfield was outstanding. Family were kept informed with everything. Nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and dedicated staff, giving us peace of mind.
