Anchor’s Springfield is located in a quiet location in Buttershaw. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 99 residents in single en suite rooms.

Residents have a choice of five spacious lounges and a landscaped garden area with raised flower beds, with easy access to local travel routes and amenities for those who wish to remain as active as they can amongst the local community.

Care needs are met through individual, detailed care plans which are designed with care staff, residents and their loved ones. The care staff receive on-going dementia training to ensure their approach reflects best practice and they can provide high standards of care for residents with dementia.

Springfield is part of Anchor. Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

While I am fully aware of what a difficult and challenging time it is for staff at Springfield, it is with great sadness that we feel we were not kept aware of my father's decline and ill health and Springfield were not forthcoming with the correct and true information. From been told on each and every
call daily he was fine, he clearly was not and finding out by other sources was very upsetting. There were quite a few things that were never quite right. It is with regret I am sorry to say I would not recommend Springfield under their present management.

Extremely disappointed with the very poor communications from senior management throughout the past 9 months at the home. From my relative falling twice within the first three months of him taking full-time residence, up until him passing away from Covid-19.

I have always found everyone to be so kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. They always find time for a conversation and that personal touch, ensuring each resident's welfare and wellbeing is their top priority. Couldn't recommend Springfield enough. They are amazing.

Over the course of my fathers stay at Springfield I can honestly say he was looked after so diligently and with respect. He was made to feel so cared for by all the team which for the family was all we wanted and could have asked for. I would recommend without hesitation Springfield and all the team

My grandma was in the home for nearly two and a half years before she passed away last week. I've always felt my grandma was safe, well-fed but most importantly cared for. As her only visiting relatives, me and my family saw countless times the interaction between staff and residents and felt the warmth
and affection they show. I can't thank the staff enough for giving my grandma dignity in her final days and hours and for treating me with such kindness and compassion.

The staff are doing an amazing job in very difficult and challenging circumstances. As families, we cannot visit but we receive daily updates by telephone complemented by photos and videos on social media. We cannot thank the staff enough for their exceptionally hard work and their motivation as a team

Overall very good, the staff are pleasant and friendly. Frequent checks on my brother's condition and requirements. Medical support timely and efficient (essential). Facilities clean and hygienic.

The staff at Springfield have always made me feel welcome. (I’m reviewing April, but all the time my dad has been in Springfield, I’ve felt the same).
Looking after older people with disabilities is not easy, so I salute the staff for the work they do when in exchange they are not paid well for the
care they give.
The food is excellent, I’ve eaten with my dad twice now, once was on Christmas Day when my mum and I were treated to a delicious three-course meal, which we ate in the dining room with dad - it was really lovely, and the staff on duty worked hard to make sure we had a good time.
Thank you for all you do, and especially now in the current situation, it must be a lot harder emotionally too.

The staff are amazing. They look after my Grandad so well and they always welcome us when we visit. They are especially kind to my 4-year-old and my 1-year-old when they join me visiting their Great Grandad.
There is a real family feel in the home and you can tell the staff genuinely care about the
residents. The food always looks delicious and the cleanliness of the communal areas and of my Grandad's room and bathroom is excellent.
The social media updates are very much appreciated at the moment too, the staff are doing a great job. Thank you.

We, as a family, cannot fault this care home, they have been truly amazing. Mum first went into this care home in 2016 with Alzheimer's, and up until her passing this month, has been treated with love, respect and dignity. Mum always seemed happy there, and all the staff were so lovely. We would not
hesitate in recommending this home to anyone, and the support they gave us in Mum's final week/days was outstanding, so glad we chose Springfield - no regrets at all!

From the reception staff to the hands-on carers the staff at Springfield are excellent. I am particularly pleased that my Mum's carers spent time, skill and intuitive care when communicating with her as she was virtually non-verbal. Mum always enjoyed her meals which were tasty and nutritious.
I would
not hesitate to recommend Springfield care home as it had been recommended to me prior to her arrival.

I am so happy that my sister and I chose this home after looking at several. The environment is so welcoming. The decor in communal areas is lovely with lots of nostalgic touches for the elderly residents. My uncle loved the jukebox but the main reason for my recommendation is the staff who showed nothing

My grandma has stayed for respite in the past without any issues, but on this occasion, we found that communication was poor. We requested that Gran have her hair done but this did not happen. Gran needs support to eat, but when we visited staff had sometimes left her to her own devices, and as a result,
she lost weight whilst there despite being already at risk of weight loss. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
