Offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where residents' individual needs are well catered for. The dedicated, kindly, caring and reassuring team encourage Mum to feel comfortable and develop friendships. An excellent program of activities, events and outings are offered enabling everyone to participate. A great selection of food, prepared on-site, is on offer and served in the bright, airy dining room.
Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience. It's lovely to see your dear mum has settled in so well and has made new friends. Also really pleasing that she enjoys the dining options and is engaging in activities and events. Thanks again and best wishes to all.
Mum came into Woodfield Grange Care Home on 21 November 2024. She had previously been in hospital after a fall and mini stroke. She spent 4 weeks in transition in another care home. She became down and depressed. She didn't want to interact with anyone and just stayed in her room. My husband and I looked at a few alternative care homes but didn't feel any would be good for Mum. We came across Woodfield Grange and arranged a visit. On our visit we both felt this was the right environment for Mum. We were invited to take Mum for a visit and have her lunch there. This we did. As soon as we took Mum in she seemed to brighten up. The staff were very welcoming. Mum has been there a week and already she is going into the lovely bright lounge and eating her meals with the other residents. She has started to walk with the aid of her walker again, which she hasn't done for quite a while. We find the staff very attentive both to Mum and us. It seems like Mum has a new lease of life.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are thrilled that your mum has settled in so well and is making such great progress in such a short space of time. It is especially pleasing to know that you and the family feel so reassured that Mum is being well looked after at Woodfield Grange. Best wishes
I have been visiting my friend once or twice a week since she moved into Woodfield Grange seven months ago. There is a friendly atmosphere. The staff are cheerful, caring and always willing to help. My friend's health and general well-being have improved in the time she has been there. She is content and grateful to the staff. The nursing manager was particularly helpful and knowledgeable during our meeting with the community healthcare professionals and social worker. Thank you.
Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience at Woodfield Grange. We are delighted that your dear friend has settled in so well and is making some really positive steps forward in her new home. We will pass on your kind words to the team. Best wishes.
The home is clean, warm and very friendly and kind staff. The food menu is varied and caters for all types of diet. The rooms are warm and inviting and the exterior of the home has a nice arrangement of tables etc. Overall a very nice place to stay.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted that you are so pleased with our care home and the service that we provide. Best wishes.
Very clean and friendly home. All the staff are amazing and look after the residents so well. My aunty is very settled and well cared for.
Thank you very much for your review. It is fantastic that your Aunty has settled so well and is enjoying living at Woodfield. Best wishes.
After my aunty was transferred to this nursing home from hospital, where she spent nearly ten weeks, we have been absolutely delighted with all aspects of her care. The home is extremely clean and very pleasant. All the staff are very caring, helpful and friendly. Her room is warm and her bed and bedding is extremely comfortable for her (she unfortunately is now bedbound). The home has a very calm and caring atmosphere about it and we are just so glad that she was sent here!
Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience at Woodfield. We are really pleased that your Aunty is enjoying living with us and that you and the family are reassured that she is being well cared for. Best wishes.
My husband was wonderfully cared for by the marvellous staff at Woodfield. They were his second family and welcomed all of us too. I was happy to know he was safe and secure.
Thank you very much for your review. Sending our best wishes.
My mum stayed at Woodfield Grange for 2 weeks respite to give me and my wife a break. The staff were great and really took good care of her, especially the activities coordinator as Mum likes to engage with activities that she enjoys. The room was clean and tidy and well laid out. Mum really enjoyed the food and said the portion sizes were just right with a good choice of options available. While looking for a home for Mum we spoke to a few places but the manager at Woodfield Grange stood out, he seemed very knowledgeable and passionate.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have your mum staying with us and we are delighted that she enjoyed her stay so much and that you and the family were reassured that she was being well cared for. We will pass on your kind words to the team and we are here to help should you require any assistance in the future. Best wishes.
Overall my father had a very good experience at Woodfield Grange. Unfortunately, due to mobility issues, he was unable to leave his room but he commented and we witnessed lovely care from everyone who worked there and it was so reassuring seeing my father laugh and joke and feel comfortable with everyone who dealt with him. The only slight issue is that the rooms are on the small side so tight when using the hoist etc and there was an issue with another resident which unfortunately took a long time to deal with. Thank you again for taking care of my father.
Thank you very much for your review and it's great to hear that your father enjoyed his stay at Woodfield Grange. Best wishes.
My mum recently stayed at Woodfield Grange for respite and I was thoroughly delighted with everything from start to finish. From the first meeting with staff at our own home for the assessment my mum responded with lovely smiles for the manager. The whole staff team were amazing with not only my mum, treating her with dignity and respect, but with my father and I when we visited. Mum had a lovely week with everyone at Woodfield Grange and we wouldn't hesitate in Mum staying for respite again. Thank you everyone.
We are delighted that your mum enjoyed her short stay with us so much! Thank you so much for your kind words, it was a real pleasure to have your mum staying with us at Woodfield and we all hope to see her beautiful big smiles again soon. Best wishes to you all.
My father came to Woodfield Grange on 15th August 2024. He had complex care needs. I was apprehensive about him going into a nursing home, however I shouldn't have been - my dad received the care that he needed from all the staff for the short time he resided there. Nothing was too much trouble and I had peace of mind knowing that he was comfortable and being well looked after. I was informed at once if anything happened and my family and I were always made welcome. Sadly Dad passed away but I know his last few months were good.
Thank you very much for your review and on behalf of the whole team we extend our ongoing condolences for the loss of your dear father. We are reassured that we were able to offer the care and peace of mind you were hoping for and helped make the transition into a nursing home as easy as possible. We send our very best wishes to you and the family.
What a warm welcome my mother had, her nails painted within minutes of arrival in her favourite colour. Would definitely let Mother stay again. Lovely staff.
Thank you so much for choosing Woodfield Grange and it was just lovely to have your mother staying with us. Hope to see you again in the future, if we can be of assistance in any way then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Best wishes.
Mum has been very well received, seems to have settled, the staff are great, food is good and Mum's room is lovely. Mum went out on a trip to Ponda Rosa and had a lovely day, singing, eating, she thoroughly enjoyed it, l as her daughter think this is great as one of the many activities that they experience.
Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience. We are delighted that your dear mum has settled in so well and is enjoying the food and surroundings and taking part in activities, events and outings. Best wishes.
The team at Woodfield happily stepped in at very short notice when our resident needed it urgently. Suffering with dementia can cause its own challenges for individuals and changes to routine can have negative effects on people, the staff were kind, caring and compassionate and kept us up to speed every week with how she was doing, her friendships she had built and helped reassure us all she was in good hands whilst family weere able to support her husband with a serious medical emergency, no ask was too small and the home happily extended her stay week by week to reduce stress on family. Wouldn't hesitate again in coming to the team at Woodfield for support, they've been a godsend and a lifeline.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're glad we could support your family during such a difficult time. It's wonderful to hear that our team made a difference and helped your loved one feel comfortable and cared for. We truly appreciate your trust in us.
Only a handful of staff actually care about the patients. Most of the time they are short staffed and not trained. My dad on regular occasions had freezing cold bed baths, food was terrible and arrives stone cold. Buzzers were never answered, at times I had to see to the lady in the next room as no one would come and she'd be calling for help. I've witnessed waiting 45 mins with buzzer flashing, no one came so I had to chase and find staff. Before my dad was moved to this home he was promised a chair that was specific for his needs, he never got one. When we arrived the bed was too small and my dad ended up with bed sores on his feet, took around 4 weeks to get him a bigger bed. He was never turned, when staff were challenged they said he refused which was not the case. In the end palliative care, social services and safe guarding were not happy with the level of care my dad was recieving but by this point it was too late, he deteriorated quickly and passed away.
We extend our heartfelt and continued condolences on the loss of your dear dad and apologise if you feel as though we didn't match your expectations. Rest assured that we take this kind of feedback very seriously as it is extremely unusual for our home to receive anything other than positive...
Mum was there for two weeks respite and all we can say is excellent. She was very well cared for, loved the food and the kind and caring staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodfield Grange.
Thank you very much for your review. It was a pleasure to have Mum stay with us and we are delighted that she enjoyed her stay. Best wishes
Absolute excellent service, very caring and supportive. My husband has really enjoyed himself and felt valued.
Thank you for your kind words and it is great to hear that you are so happy with the service provided at Woodfield and that your husband enjoyed his stay. Best wishes.
The management are very kind.
They play Bingo, music and entertainment. They get the patients dancing either in their chairs or walkers or with holding their hands.
The home is airy and light. You can see how happy the patients are, because of the staff looking after them so well.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback which we will share with the team. Best wishes.
Mum took a couple of weeks to settle in and can be a demanding resident, but the staff are always friendly and show care, patience and respect her wishes. I am happy with the care she is receiving.
Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted that Mum has settled in and that you are happy with the care she receives at Woodfield. Best wishes.
My dad arrived at Woodfield Grange in June 2024 for palliative care. From the first day, he was welcomed by all the amazing staff and made to feel very much at home. He raved about the food and complimented the chef on many occasions. He was treated with dignity and the care he received was excellent. He was able to have a good laugh at times with many of the staff and enjoyed sharing life stories with them. Nothing was too much trouble and if there were issues, then they were dealt with immediately and efficiently. As visitors, we were made to feel very welcome and very well accommodated for. Dad spent 6 weeks at Woodfield Grange before he sadly passed away, but those last 6 weeks of his life were made more bearable by the dedication and care shown to him, for which we will be forever grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Woodfield Grange to others.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We extend our continued sympathies to you and the family on the loss of your dear dad. It is reassuring to know that we were able to help to make his last few weeks comfortable. We will share your kind words with all of the team and send our very best wishes. Thanks again for your recommendation.
