I am very happy with the staff for the way they look after my mum. I could not have been any more happy as I've seen the way they look after her.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We will pass on your compliments to the team. Best wishes.
Well cared for and the staff are nice and friendly. Mum is well looked after.
Thank you very much for your review. Great to hear that you are so pleased with the care provided for your mum at Woodfield Grange. Best wishes.
The staff are like family and looked after my mum for almost 18 months and treat her with dignity. Little things mean so much, like knocking on the door before entering, making sure she was comfortable. She also had added disabilities and the staff made sure she was looked after. When Mum became palliative she insisted on returning to the home to be surrounded by those she loved and trusted and for that we are truly grateful.
Thank you for your lovely review. We extend our ongoing condolences to you and the family on the recent loss of your dear mum. It is very reassuring to know that you and mum were so happy with the care provided. Best wishes from all of the team.
I cannot put into words how much they cared for my mother-in-law, treated her like their own grandmother.
Thank-you so much for your lovely review. On behalf of the whole team we send our very best wishes to you and the family.
There had been an issue regarding staff numbers and he explained the reasoning and tried to put in place staff to ensure the residents were looked after properly.
Thank you very much for your review and feedback and we are delighted that feel supported by our Home Manager. Best wishes.
My wife who has dementia moved into Woodfield Grange Nursing Home two months ago after her previous care home closed. We have found an improvement in her alertness since she has been here and we are very happy with the care she is receiving. The staff and management are very caring, approachable and friendly. When visiting we are always made very welcome. One improvement I feel that could be made is as the better weather arrives, the residents' outside seating area could do with some improvements.
Dear Colin thank you so much for your review. We are delighted that your wife has settled in so well at Woodfield and that you and the family are so pleased with the care that she is receiving. We will pass on your kind comments to the team.
Mum needed to be hoisted out of bed twice a day to sit in a chair in her room, and to be hoisted to enable toileting. After we provided a chair, Mum still had to stay in bed for two further days because moving the chair to her room was delayed; and the type of hoist Mum needed to enable her to use a commode had not been ordered when she moved in and had still not arrived when she died, two weeks later. If you need any furniture or equipment to maintain your basic routines, I would urge you to ensure that they are in place before you arrive, so that your needs can be met from day one.
Thank you for your feedback and once again our deepest sympathies for your recent loss. We always strived to be open, transparent and keep you informed throughout your mum's stay at Woodfield and it was very unfortunate that upon admission she was exhausted and her general health was poor which...
Individual carers were very kind but this was a really upsetting experience. Mum had to leave the happy, loving home she'd been in for 11 years as it was closing due to retirement, so we planned well in advance by visiting homes to see who could continue the routine she was used to. Despite promises from the management that they could do that, loads of information about her needs, and weeks to prepare, Woodfield Grange failed to be ready. The worst omissions were these: she was stuck in bed for three days before the chair we had supplied was taken to her room, and the type of hoist she needed for her usual toilet routine had not been acquired and had still not arrived when she died two weeks later. We did our best to intervene and some things were starting to improve, but I would urge anyone to check and recheck that they are going to actually deliver what they say.

Wonderful management and staff at Woodfield Grange. Can't do enough for residents. Food arriving all day. (An ensuite could have been beneficial). We felt confident leaving our loved one in their care.
Thank you for taking the time to share such kind words about the home and our colleagues.
All the staff were very caring and friendly. They treated Mom with great respect as an individual and as part of the care home group.
Fabulous staff with a very caring attitude. Food is home from home. Highly recommended.
Worked through awful situation during Covid. Kept residents safe and new management certainly making a difference!
Since the change in management, there has been a vast improvement in the way the home is run. There is a new level of openness and transparency which is reflected in the atmosphere throughout the home. Issues raised have been addressed promptly and efficiently and the worries we had under previous management have been alleviated. The current staff team are a credit to the home for the person-centred support that they deliver in a kind and caring manner.
Mum seems happy. Grumbles that she can no longer sit with friends at mealtimes.
Thank you for your review and we would be happy to discuss this further. We can understand your mum's frustration. However, we are limited to government guidance when it comes to Covid restrictions, however, your mum is, and will be able to sit with her friends at mealtimes, we just need to adhere to the social distancing measures in place to protect everyone in the home.
On the whole Woodfield Grange Nursing Home is better than some and worse than others.
Thank you for taking the time to review the home and we are grateful for the feedback regarding the care plans. The home manager will contact you directly to review these with you and ensure expectations are met going forward.
I wish I had found this care home a lot sooner. The staff are so caring with excellent communication. I was exceptionally impressed that my mum was registered with a GP surgery of my choice on the same day she moved in and that an essential referral to 'SALT' was made in less than 24 hours of residency. When it came to my mums last hours, she was treated with such dignity & respect, as well as ensuring I was okay. Thank you just isn't enough.
I am very, very satisfied with Woodfield Grange and the care my husband is given. When I visit I am always made to feel welcome and the residents always appear happy, clean and well cared for. There is always an activity going on and they have a party to celebrate every occasion from the Queen's Birthday to Uncle Tom's success. The staff are all very friendly and interact very well with all the residents; it's like one big family. The chef is amazing and produces beautiful birthday cakes for the residents and an outstanding buffet for parties and special occasions. My husband is severely disabled and unable to speak but is still helped to join in all the activities.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your husband. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will make sure that they are passed onto the manager and her dedicated and hardworking team at Woodfield Grange.
Absolutely wonderful home - I couldn’t ask for any better for my mum. They go above and beyond in everything they do for her and we are really pleased with how she is doing and coping in there. She’s made some lovely friends and enjoys the company of everyone she is with. She says the food is exceptional and couldn’t wish for any better.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your mum and I will ensure that your kind words are relayed back to the Woodfield team. Regards, Paul.
A very clean and open facility. Friendly, caring staff, excellent food and plenty of entertainment. Nice garden, rooms are very cosy.
Unfortunately, my mother was only in Woodfield Grange for a few days before she died. However, in that short time, she received excellent care from a very caring staff who cannot be praised enough. Our only regret is that she didn't move there sooner.

Meet the Team (1)

"I have been dedicated to the care sector since I was eighteen and now have over twenty years of experience. What I love most about my role is that no two days are ever the same, and I leave each day knowing I’ve made a meaningful difference in the lives of those I care for.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family or going on walks with my dog, Henry."
