Mum seems to have settled in well, having only been at Aden Court for a couple of months. She absolutely loves the day staff and management. From what I've seen, they take genuine care of her. However, she has mentioned she feels less safe at night as the staff are different.
She seems to enjoy the food, though has said it's sometimes repetitive.

I feel happy knowing Mum is being cared for at Aden Court.

My dad was admitted 10th April and from the first day all the staff were very warm and welcoming. They all did an excellent job of making our dad feel comfy and wanted. On his last day all his friends, daughter and son were there and they could not do enough for us. Special thanks to the manager and another particular member of staff for looking after him.

I would highly recommend Aden Court for end-of-life care. My dad was much happier there than hospital even with the bit of time he had there.

My mother had a 2 1/2 year stay at Aden Court and was well looked after. She was bedbound the entire stay so did not use the communal rooms and was served all her meals in the room.

Staff were friendly and cheerful throughout and Mother was kept clean and presentable at all times.

This review relates to the period between 6th to 11th March 2024. My mother-in-law was admitted for 1 week but ended up being in for 5 weeks of palliative care. All the staff were friendly, compassionate and professional at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave 100% care. All staff were approachable and confidential and gave the utmost best of care at all times. They cared for my mother-in-law with professionalism from the start to her sad passing. I thank you for the excellent care that was given at all times.

The care this care home has provided is amazing, even though they have so many residents, they take their time with each and every one, they treat people with love and care and make the whole family very welcoming. Every member of staff was very kind nd went above and beyond to help make our lives easier and comfortable. I am so glad my mother-in-law spent her last months here with the best care possible. Thank you.

Although my husband was only in for a short time, the care and attention he got was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and he was checked on constantly. My overall feeling was that he could not have been staying in anywhere better.

Whilst my mum was only at Aden Court for a short period of time (towards end of life), we found the staff exceptionally professional and thoroughly helpful. We felt confident that the staff on duty always tended to mum's care in a very thoughtful manner. Nothing seemed too much trouble for both mum and anyone who visited. The manager was so warm and welcoming, spending time with us during an initial visit and taking time to get to know us as a family. Staff regularly asked about our family background as well as mum's likes and interests should an opportunity arise to interact with her. Overall, we found Aden Court to be an excellent experience (despite the circumstances of why mum was there) and was treated with respect and dignity. As a family, we can't praise the manager and staff enough. I would highly recommend this care home.

It was the manager's warm voice over the telephone and her personality on viewing the home which helped us decide to use Aden Court Care Home. My stepmother was well cared for. It was clearly visible that the entire team at Aden Court was genuine in the care they gave. It was exceptional. The home is clean and inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

From first entering the home, I felt it was a home. The reception was very warm and I received all the relevant details to enable me to make the decision for my cousin to come and live here. We have not been disappointed and after only ten days has settled in very well and likes all the staff. Her room is now decorated with all her favourite things.

My father arrived with Mum around the end of July 2023. He felt loved and regarded. From day one I was happy with the way the staff looked after my dad. He was always clean with fresh clothes. The staff always updated me and always had time to explain what was happening. The room was basic but adequate. When my dad could go into the communal area he was taken and made comfortable with his own special chair. I have no criticism of his end of life care.

Although my mum was a resident for only a short time for end-of-life care, so unable to comment on activities.
The care she received was of a high standard with very attentive staff who were accessible when required.

The management were also very professional and caring. All around I felt the service provided was first class and would recommend.

I had to find my mother a nursing home at short notice as she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, thank goodness I tried the lady in charge at Aden Court. She was lovely, kind and welcoming and had a place for Mum. She and all staff in the home do their utmost to give the best care to all residents, can't thank them enough.

My partner went into this home on the 5th of July. The staff were extremely welcoming. They are all so kind to him, me and my family too; they always seem to 2go that extra mile".

He's had an outing to a garden centre, which he thoroughly enjoyed and can't stop talking about it. It is definitely a first-class nursing home!

Cannot fault Aden Court. Care with a capital c is at the centre of everything they do. A wonderful team where every member of staff goes above and beyond their duties to make sure that not just the resident is cared for with compassion and dignity but so are every family member and friend. Nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding doesn't seem to do justice for what they all do, day in and day out. We would wholeheartedly recommend Aden Court to everyone, particularly for end-of-life. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident at Aden Court now for approximately eighteen months. She soon settled into her new surroundings no doubt helped by the care and compassion shown by all the staff there.
Mum has nothing but good things to say about her room and all the care and nursing staff who attend to her needs, this is evident on the occasions when we are visiting with the carers and nurses checking regularly on Mum, they treat Mum as if she is one of their own family which is very reassuring when we are not there.

During mum's deteriorating health the caring and professional way that the staff communicated with the family cannot be faulted.

Lisa BoydJob Title:Home managerJoined: 2009

I have worked in the health and social care sector for 30 years. I started my career in the care sector as a care assistant, progressed to senior, care manager then home manager in 2009. I did get promoted to regional manager for over 3 years and although I enjoyed the role, and learnt a lot, my passion was being a home manager.

Working alongside supporting and developing my team whilst prompting good quality care for our residents is what drives me, along with having good solid relationships with other professionals.

My greatest achievement is getting a diploma in my manager's qualification.

We are very passionate about End-of-Life care for both families and their loved ones, we work very closely with the hospice palliative team.

We have strong values at Aden Court – Compassion, Aspiration, Respect & Empowerment.
