My father is always happy.
Hello and thank you very much for your review. It is great to know that your dear father is so happy at Longwood. Best wishes.
We are really happy with the care Mum gets. She can be difficult but the staff treat her with respect and patience. She has now been with them for 22 months and looks healthy. The home saved her life when she first got there she was so underweight.
Hello and thank you very much for your review. It is reassuring to know that you and the family are so happy with the care at Longwood and that your mum is doing so well. Best wishes.
Overall my brother and I are pleased with the care our mother receives. There are times when I feel a little bit more could be done regarding hygiene. On a few occasions, her fingernails are not clean and feel this is a job for the carers when they wash and dress her each morning. There are times when the carers aren't paying attention in the main lounge and residents are needing the toilet. I understand being a carer must be a really hard job and tiring but the customer should come first.
My husband came into Longwood Grange for a short period of respite. Everyone in the care home treated him with the utmost kindness and friendliness which made his stay a pleasant experience. Nothing was too much trouble and every request made was actioned speedily.
We are very glad to hear that your husband had a pleasant experience during his stay at the home. The staff are dedicated to providing residents with a warm and welcoming environment, so they will be very happy to know that your husband felt this way. Thank you for your lovely review.
Our mum has just joined Longwood Grange and it's fair to say we, as a family were all very fearful of her entering into a care system. Along with the expected guilt we have also been very wary of how she would settle in. It's very early days, however, we are so over the moon with everything. The care she has received is exceptional and everyone we have dealt with has been lovely. So nice to see her up and dressed. Also, a massive relief to be able to go to bed on a night not wondering if she would fall or if we would have to be calling for an ambulance. Now we know her every need is being taken care of. Thank you, to your team for putting our minds at rest and taking such good care of our mum.
We are glad to hear that you are happy with the care and support your mum has received during her stay so far. We understand that it can be an emotional time for families when moving a loved one into our homes, however it is rewarding for us to know that the care of the staff has given you relief and reassurance. Thank you for your kind and encouraging review.
The manager and his staff have been a lifesaver for me. They took my husband's care over in July 2021. Each month has seen an improvement in his behaviour. They have been excellent and getting diagnostic problems solved. Each month has been an ongoing success.
Thank you for your kind review about the team and the home. It is great to hear about your husband and we will ensure that the team and manager are aware
Residents are clean and tidy. Food fabulous. Lots of smiles - so a nice atmosphere.
Well, my mum has been here for five years now after she had a stroke. She would not have been alive if it was not for the wonderful care and attention she gets from all the staff they love her dearly and she loves them. If there are any changes to my mum's routine they always inform me to make sure it is OK to have any changes. The manager is great and communicates with me on a regular basis. Keep up the good work all of you I know you all work so hard to care for the residents and I would like to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for looking after my mum.
Thank you for your kind words.Me and my team will continue to work hard and deliver the care that is expected from us.
Mum came into the care home in June 2020 and was immediately made to feel welcome. The staff have always gone above and beyond what they needed to do. The care, love and commitment is boundless. Mum loved her stay here and I am exceedingly grateful for all that has been done.
Thank you so much for your positive comments regarding our colleagues, which will be greatly appreciated. I am so proud of how our colleagues have dealt with the pressures that Covid has brought to ensure our residents receive the highest standards of care.
Staff have been helpful and have contacted us for information and on the whole kept us informed of any adverse events eg: a fall. Difficult to give a comprehensive review as we have been unable to go inside, although from snapshots into and contact we believe that our mother is being cared for as well as can be expected currently. Have been carrying out activities and her personal care seems adequate. She seems settled and happy enough in the environment. Unable to comment fully on some aspects due to not being able to go inside.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review for Longwood Grange. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I will most certainly pass your comments on to the staff at Longwood. As a team, we strive to provide the best care possible for our residents, and we look forward to welcoming all families back into our home once allowed.
The home is a very pleasant, friendly place to visit my friend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is very pleasant with no smells and all the people look happy and well cared for. If, as I get older and need residential care, I have told my younger brother I would like to go to Longwood Grange.
His care at all times has been absolutely first class, with carers being really understanding of his needs. Management, which has an issue in his early days, is now excellent. We could not be happier with his care. Longwood Grange has been more than good to him. It has exceeded expectations.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It's our pleasure to care for your wife's uncle. I will of course pass on your comments to our team at Longwood Grange.
When our Mum was discharged from hospital we were asked to seek a Care Home. After a long and uneventful morning visiting several, we came across Longwood Grange, and from the first moment we stepped through the door we knew this was the one for our Mum. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, they showed my sister and I around the whole of the home and we decided there and then that mum would be comfortable and safe there. So after assessment, Mum now resides here and is happy and content in her surroundings. The staff are most helpful and pleasant, always smiling and laughing with the residents. The whole atmosphere and decor is homely - like home from home, it is extremely clean and fresh smelling. Mum's bedroom is always spotless and made up. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the wonderful staff, whether caring for the residents or making relatives at home too. My sister and I know our Mum is in the best place and she is safe and well cared for - cannot praise this home enough.
I'm really pleased with the home. The management and staff are all very professional, friendly and caring. My dad is really happy and is looked after and that gives me a peace of mind.
Sadly care homes receive much criticism but for us, Longwood Grange Care Home does a good job.
My mother is a resident of Longwood Grange Care Home. She always seems comfortable, clean and tells me that the majority of the carers are friendly and kind to her. The managers and staff will answer any queries I have regarding my mother quickly and efficiently. If my mother is unwell they contact the GP quickly and inform me at once what has happened. The home is always clean and tidy, my mother is well looked after. Staff are always helpful and polite.
Thank you for your very kind comments I will ensure these are passed on to all the staff.
Mum is happy, eating and drinking well. The staff are friendly, very helpful and Mum likes them. I noticed her wellbeing has improved.
The care home is clean, no smells, light and airy. Bedrooms very nice and cheerful. Staff helpful very kind and caring to residents.
Good but no stimulation or activities arranged.
I feel reassured my mother-in-law is safe and well looked after in a happy environment with caring staff.
