Harrogate Lodge Care Home is located on the edge of Leeds City Centre and is within easy reach of shops, amenities, public transport and the M1 and M62 motorways. Harrogate and Wakefield are not far.

This purpose built care home provides accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities. Harrogate Lodge provides three lounges and quiet sitting rooms for relaxation.

Two separate dining rooms are available, where residents can enjoy each others company at meal times. Traditional home cooking is served with daily choices available. Special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a physiotherapist, an optician and a dentist.

The home has an activity coordinator who provides a varied programme of activities.

The home provides dementia nursing care.

Carpark a little small and tight spaces for lager cars. Warmly welcomed, guided to friend's room. Super clean in all areas we saw. Staff were all happy to help us with whatever we asked, gentle with service users. Smiles and banter with us all. Lifting spirits of users, a happy place to be. A wonderful
group of staff. A pleasure to visit.

Harrogate Lodge Care Home is a care home that really cares!
The administration, nurses, carers, and cleaners all work in harmony to provide support to all residents. All are supported by an excellent team of physios. I could not walk but after 2 weeks of care, I walked out of Harrogate Lodge. Thank

We cannot thank you enough for the support and care you gave to my dad during his time with you. He was ready to come home, but we felt comfortable knowing that your incredible staff were giving him the best possible standard of care. He always seemed happy with the food, and the only thing I would

Since being Harrogate Lodge Care Home to a Four Seasons Health Care home my husband has been so well cared for. He has been so well cared for. He has been shaved daily. Treated with kindness, understanding and care. He is very shy but enjoys the entertainment plus one to one attention he gets plus really
enjoyed the meal. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he is happy and well cared forby gentle and well trained staff.

My mum has been a resident of Harrogate Lodge Care Home for over 3 years. During that time I have seen the Dementia unit grow to now be a centre of excellence. The unit promotes a strong feeling of community demonstrating an understanding of each resident's individuality and recognising the life they
had led before entering the home. The staff are very warm caring and friendly looking after family members as much as the residents. Relatives and residents are seen as a family unit and encouraged to join in events and activities with loved ones to create lasting positive memories which can be difficult when a loved one has dementia. Regular residents and family meetings occur with Marsha and her team to discuss what is happening in the home and what’s working well and what could be better - comments are always listened to and acted on.

I cannot express enough my thanks to all the staff. Mom moved in during the Covid epidemic and we were unable to view the home due to restrictions, but the conversations we had over the phone before the move more than impressed me and I knew at once Mom would be happy here. When she moved in we were
not allowed to visit but whenever we dropped anything off for her all the staff knew who we were talking about and always reassured us she was well. Now we can visit I can see we made the right decision in choosing this home. Even though I struggle to visit most weeks I know she is being looked after so once again thanks to all the staff and my 5 stars shows what a great place this is and I wish I could give a 10 as they really deserve it

So pleased to be able to share my thanks and praise for the wonderful management and staff at Harrogate Lodge Care Home. Since Mum moved in there at the end of last year we have been delighted with the support, care and concern she has been shown. Regular staff are kind and courteous and go above and
beyond to help residents feel happy, settled and entertained. Activities are varied and inclusive, offering stimulation and satisfaction.
As a family, we have been grateful for the weight that has been lifted from us knowing that Mum is safe and settled and that her physical health is now the best it has been for a long time.

Mum moved into Harrogate Lodge from another home 6 months ago. The manager collected Mum herself so the move was completely stress-free, which made everything much easier for us as a family.
The staff/carers are wonderful, very kind and understanding of all Alzheimer's symptoms and elderly needs.
The
nurses and doctors are professional at all times but still remain friendly if any questions are raised. Problems are dealt with promptly and our family are kept in the loop at all times.
The food cooked on the premises is lovely and enjoyed by Mum at every meal.
The home is spotlessly clean and organised well.
Plenty of rooms to have private visits.
I would struggle to find anything negative to report overall.
Maybe the main resident's lounge could be bigger but this is certainly not an issue for Mum as it has a lovely homely vibe.
There are plenty of activities during the day and the manager seems to want to engage.
Overall I would highly recommend this nursing home to families.

My mum has been in Harrogate Lodge Care Home for a few weeks and loves the place.
The staff are so caring and have made what has been a hard change for my mum easier. Every day when we visit there is always someone there with a big smile to let us in.
Mum says the food is lovely and we have noticed
that she is eating more than she has been in years. She will miss you all.

My grandma was admitted after a fall which resulted in a broken pelvis. The care she received was amazing. All the staff including the nurses, carers, physio's OTS, and cleaners treat her with care. When issues are raided they were dealt with. At 97 this was her first experience of care and she couldn't
have been in a nicer care home

My mother-in-law lived at Harrogate Lodge for the last two years, where she was very well cared for by the lovely kind team of nurses and carers. The home is much improved in recent months, since the new manager took over and the communal areas are much more welcoming and pleasant. Although my mum in
laws room was a bit basic, it was always very clean and you do realise that is not about 'carpets and curtains', when a loved one needs nursing care. It's about the care they receive and we always felt reassured that she was being given the best care. We were always kept informed by the care team and management, who we cannot thank enough for supporting and caring for my mum-in-law, at such a difficult time in her life.

My Mother was transferred here from an emergency placement at another nursing home. The difference was stark. My mum has been in Harrogate Lodge for the last 9 weeks. She was in an Intermediate Care bed but fortunately, she now has a permanent nursing bed there. The quality of care she has received during this time has been excellent. All the staff are very caring and professional in their duties, no matter
what those duties entail. They make sure Mum is comfortable and as happy as she can be. The staff do all they possibly can to make her time with them as pleasant as possible.
The home is clean and feels very welcoming to visitors as well as their patients. It is well managed both clinically and administratively. I have been kept informed at all stages of Mum's care and the level of support I have received has been excellent. All staff show kindness and empathy to our situation which is a great help during a difficult period in our lives.
It helps so much to know that mum is in safe and caring hands. I cannot thank all the staff enough for what they do for their residents. Highly recommended.

Overall, the experience has been a positive one. In the circumstances I would say the staff have been very caring and helpful. Even when there was a mix up with outside assistance, the care home staff were really helpful and made sure my mum was given her room back until her outside care could be rearranged.
there was always a member of staff available when we had any queries and I'm sure my mum will miss the staff when she returns home.

Can't thank the staff at the home enough for going out of their way to help us settle Mum into Harrogate Lodge. They have kept us informed on the process of admission from hospital and how Mum has settled into the home. We look forward to spending happy hours there with Mum in the future. It's a great
comfort to know that Mum is in such caring hands and that the staff will take good care of her. We feel very confident that this is the right move for Mum and look forward to working with the staff to keep Mum comfortable and happy. Such a joy to see how caring everyone is not just for Mum but for us as relatives too and so refreshing after the last home Mum was in.

I attended a garden party that was advertised yesterday. It was a short but brilliantly organised event. The residents appeared to have a great time. Dances and stalls and the staff are very attentive to the needs and enjoyment of the residents. It would be great to see more community connections here.

Can’t praise the staff enough in this nursing home. Even in these difficult times, the residents are treated with a lot of respect and dignity.
I wish my Dad had been here sooner. The last home was shocking. I didn’t realise how bad until I saw how caring the staff are here!

My mum’s recently moved in, I was nervous about the change, but the activity coordinator showed me round and put me at ease. Listening to her passion and commitment made me feel confident in my choice on behalf of my mum. I now see the words at the initial meeting being put into action, activities are
high on the agenda and making a real difference. My mum’s settling in and interaction between staff and residents has been positive and friendly.
