Mum has Alzheimer's and has been at Harrogate Lodge for over 2 years. The care and attention she has been given and the welcome we get when we visit is excellent. Mum is happy she has been difficult at times but the staff have the training and understanding to manage dementia patients. She is kept occupied and enjoys the activities provided. I have peace of mind that she is being well cared for.

Mum has settled in well to Harrogate Lodge and seems to have developed a good relationship with the staff.

I am kept up to date with any physical changes that have occurred. Both myself and my family are welcome to see Mum at any time. The home made every effort to help Mum to engage in the activities.

My husband was in Harrogate Lodge, Leeds for almost five years. A wonderful, caring home. All the staff are wonderful, caring people. He was extremely happy there. He passed away in February this year. His care towards the end was amazing. They looked after me and my family with the most professional care. I still like to go into the home as I have, over the years, made such wonderful friends. I cannot praise them enough for all they have done for our family.

Mum has been a resident on the dementia suite for two years now. During this time she has received outstanding care. The staff are like an extended family and treat her with kindness and respect. Her room is always clean and tidy and there a is lovely co-ordinator who provides excellent daily activities to keep residents involved.
Mum is taken out and there is a garden to sit out in when the weather permits.

Staff care about the resident and their family and a lovely warm welcome always awaits on each visit. I receive regular updates and staff are always approachable if I have any concerns. Can't praise them highly enough for their care and dedication to keeping Mum safe and happy.

Lack of communication with the staff and the patients and the food is not at all good. The staff are not nice and polite, and some of the staff very rude to the people.

When I arrived I was welcomed wonderfully. But when handed over to two young ladies to complete the admissions form (a tick box questionnaire). They requested that my husband went on the landing to sit, (to which I objected to). They were adamant that this was going to happen. I reminded them several times that my husband, of 66 years, was not going to happen. They had no idea how of handling this and I feel that a short introduction to this questionnaire would be advisable (customer care).

Our aunt was a resident for eight years. I would like to express our gratitude for the care she has received at Harrogate Lodge. The staff are amazing, going above and beyond with the residents. We have nothing but good things to say about these caring people - and when the time came, they were equally amazing with us being supportive and compassionate. Forever grateful.

My aunt was a resident in the dementia unit for eight years prior to her death on 8th April 2024. She has in the past eight years had excellent care from a caring team of staff, including care workers, nurses and the admin team. We cannot fault the care and love given to our family member.

Every member of staff who looked after my mum was exceptional. Their care, happy nature and ensuring her dignity are unbelievable and incomparable to the previous care home we had experienced. Harrogate Lodge is looking tired but hygiene was always of a good standard and I believe there are plans for a refurbishment. Thank you to all involved in her care and recovery.

Carpark a little small and tight spaces for lager cars. Warmly welcomed, guided to friend's room. Super clean in all areas we saw. Staff were all happy to help us with whatever we asked, gentle with service users. Smiles and banter with us all. Lifting spirits of users, a happy place to be. A wonderful group of staff. A pleasure to visit.

We cannot thank you enough for the support and care you gave to my dad during his time with you. He was ready to come home, but we felt comfortable knowing that your incredible staff were giving him the best possible standard of care. He always seemed happy with the food, and the only thing I would comment on was the windows being a little restrictive to let fresh air in. Thank you.

Since being Harrogate Lodge Care Home to a Four Seasons Health Care home my husband has been so well cared for. He has been so well cared for. He has been shaved daily. Treated with kindness, understanding and care. He is very shy but enjoys the entertainment plus one to one attention he gets plus really enjoyed the meal. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he is happy and well cared forby gentle and well trained staff.

My mum has been a resident of Harrogate Lodge Care Home for over 3 years. During that time I have seen the Dementia unit grow to now be a centre of excellence. The unit promotes a strong feeling of community demonstrating an understanding of each resident's individuality and recognising the life they had led before entering the home. The staff are very warm caring and friendly looking after family members as much as the residents. Relatives and residents are seen as a family unit and encouraged to join in events and activities with loved ones to create lasting positive memories which can be difficult when a loved one has dementia. Regular residents and family meetings occur with Marsha and her team to discuss what is happening in the home and what’s working well and what could be better - comments are always listened to and acted on.

I cannot express enough my thanks to all the staff. Mom moved in during the Covid epidemic and we were unable to view the home due to restrictions, but the conversations we had over the phone before the move more than impressed me and I knew at once Mom would be happy here. When she moved in we were not allowed to visit but whenever we dropped anything off for her all the staff knew who we were talking about and always reassured us she was well. Now we can visit I can see we made the right decision in choosing this home. Even though I struggle to visit most weeks I know she is being looked after so once again thanks to all the staff and my 5 stars shows what a great place this is and I wish I could give a 10 as they really deserve it

So pleased to be able to share my thanks and praise for the wonderful management and staff at Harrogate Lodge Care Home. Since Mum moved in there at the end of last year we have been delighted with the support, care and concern she has been shown. Regular staff are kind and courteous and go above and beyond to help residents feel happy, settled and entertained. Activities are varied and inclusive, offering stimulation and satisfaction.
As a family, we have been grateful for the weight that has been lifted from us knowing that Mum is safe and settled and that her physical health is now the best it has been for a long time.

Thank you, team!
