Harrogate Lodge Care Home is located on the edge of Leeds City Centre and is within easy reach of shops, amenities, public transport and the M1 and M62 motorways. Harrogate and Wakefield are not far.

This purpose built care home provides accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities. Harrogate Lodge provides three lounges and quiet sitting rooms for relaxation.

Two separate dining rooms are available, where residents can enjoy each others company at meal times. Traditional home cooking is served with daily choices available. Special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a physiotherapist, an optician and a dentist.

The home has an activity coordinator who provides a varied programme of activities.

The home provides dementia nursing care.

It is truly heartwarming to see the outstanding level of care provided to the residents.
The staff work tirelessly to ensure that the residents' physical needs are met, but also their emotional needs with the many varied and exciting activities that are provided.
I feel very comfortable leaving my
Mum knowing she’s in more capable hands than if I were looking after her. The staff really genuinely care about the residents and are absolute angels.
It would be lovely for them to get some recognition for the work they do. I don’t think they even realise what a positive impact they make on the residents and their families who can leave their loved ones with the knowledge they are safe and loved.

In times when it appears customary to berate care for the elderly, I would like to thank Harrogate Lodge Care Home for the care and support they show to my mother, a dementia sufferer. They admitted her against the odds and made her smile again.
The staff are lovely, well trained and caring for dementia
residents.
Harrogate Lodge exceeded all my expectations of how I thought Mums care would be. My mum and I are very lucky.

I wish to share the excellent service and attention to my dad from a particular staff member to give praise where it is due and cannot thank her enough.
My dad had an appointment at 11:45 at the hospital yesterday and I was assured wheelchair transport had been booked to take him from Harrogate Lodge
to the hospital as my dad has lost all his mobility and requires a wheelchair now.
The appointment was important for the consultant to see my dad and to cut a long story short the transport, in the end, did not turn up.
I was waiting outside the hospital to meet my dad and I received a call from the staff member to say the transport had not been booked. The staff member knowing how important the appointment was for my dad actually told me not to worry and advised me she was going to walk and push my father in his wheelchair down from the home to the hospital so he would make it in time for his appointment.
Pure dedication from the staff member. I cannot fault any of the staff my dad is so content and happy thank you.

My mother came out of hospital for a short stay until she was ready to come home to end of life treatment at home as she wished for. All our family are really so pleased and thankful that Mum was placed here at Harrogate Lodge as she has received the very best of treatment whilst she was here. All staff
we have met with are truly dedicated to their profession and should be proud of their service to their residents in their care. We love you and can't thank you enough.

All the staff are caring, helpful, very good in all aspects of care, rooms are very clean. Activities at this home are very good, my mother really likes the singing.

My mother always seems settled and happy to see any of the staff. It's difficult to say much more as visits have only just re-started after all the covid lockdowns. Nails need doing! Also hair - I understand the hairdresser is allowed in this week.

The home is trying to do too much with limited availability. The day to day staff are great and work wonders with the very demanding conditions they have to deal with. There are no activities planned and there is no cafe/bar facilities. There is no internet access for the residents which during this
difficult period has been a nightmare to make contact as you are depending on the one phone in the office being available and it being taken to each patient - not hygienically the best! Currently working with the home but would advise people to thoroughly check each home, make numerous visits and talk to other family members with people in them.

Strict infection control processes are in place in our home. We receive regular inspection visits from Leeds CCG infection control team and we are confident that they are satisfied with our infection control practices, both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our residents are regularly using FaceTime to communicate with their relatives during this time, a full activity programme is in place and for those residents who are either unable, or choose not to join, we ensure that they have 1:1 time with our carers and wider team. Our café is on the ground floor and complimentary drinks are provided for all visitors on a self-serve basis. Our Home Manager is always willing to discuss any of your concerns further. Thanks again.

The care my grandmother is receiving at Harrogate Lodge is excellent. The staff and management are friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. We have not seen her in weeks but the staff have helped her to keep in touch with us all by FaceTime and we get regular updates from the staff as well.
She is always happy when we call and keen to let us know how she is getting on and what she has done that day. She especially loves the food! We would love her to be back home with us but she really is in the best place.

My wife has been a resident for 7-years. Her care during that time has been superb. All the staff from management to cleaning ladies are caring and efficient, in fact, the staff are what makes this care home so good; very compassionate and caring.

My nana is at Harrogate Lodge after having a fall. She is improving daily with the help and support of the physio, care and nursing team.
It won’t be long until she comes home, and this is all down to the great care and treatment she has been getting.
As a family, we cannot thank all the staff enough

My friend has been at Harrogate Lodge for about a year, and I cannot say I have seen a better run home, and I do visit a few as some of my other friends are in there. Everyone is treated with kindness. The manager listens to me and deals with my concerns as quickly as she is able to. I know she is
a busy lady, but she always has time to talk to me. There are two university students there, and they are doing activities nearly every day with my friend and everyone else who has dementia. This is good, as the activity lady, left last month but everyone is still having a lot of activities. It is a lovely place to live, and the carers are so lovely.

My partner was in Harrogate Lodge for 4 weeks and I visited him 2 or 3 times a day. I was impressed by the fact that there was never any 'smell' to the care home and there were always staff around to ask if I had a question. The staff were always pleasant and helpful.
Once my partner had settled in,
he was happy with his room. The cleaners came in every day to clean, and his needs were met reasonably promptly. The windows of the room could do with replacing as when there was a wind you could feel it coming through the window frame. However, the heating was on all the time which compensated.
I would have no hesitation in requesting he goes back to Harrogate Lodge should the need arise.

I cannot recommend Harrogate Lodge enough. A lovely place with excellent staff. My dad spent his last year there and was looked after well. The place is clean and welcoming. Residents look happy and well cared for. There is a brilliant range of activities for residents. Definitely five stars.

The care and dignity shown to my mother during her stay have been exemplary by all staff. She is treated as one of the family and all staff know and call her by name. Communication is good however, the hygiene and cleanliness displayed by staff need improving. Management is aware of this problem and
is taking steps to improve all staff's awareness of the problems experienced. Overall, I am happy with the intermediate care provided.
