My husband is extremely happy. He has settled well in a safe environment where he feels he is genuinely part of a family. He is very fortunate that the home has allowed him to use part of the conservatory to pursue his personal rehabilitation activities. This area has been set up solely for him which
he and I appreciate. However there is a lack of activities provided by the home to stimulate residents.

Through the 2 years my dad was here I have absolutely no complaints at all. The staff cared for my dad like his own family and despite his complex needs they spent time to help him be the best version of himself and and made him smile again. The dietary, nursing and care needs were all met and dad was
clean and well groomed at all times. His room was lovely and was a home from home.

My husband was in Victoria House Care Home Ryhill till he passed away, I couldn't have wished for him to be in a better care home, the staff and management were wonderful not only with my husband but treated me too good as well.

My mum received end of life care here for one week. My family visited daily and was always greeted with smiles and offers of tea. The staff were always friendly, helpful and caring. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion. Her room was clean, airy and so much quieter than hospital. She has a big
bed with cosy throws and seemed peaceful. When she passed away we felt we had been lucky to have found such a wonderful place to end her days.

On my mother being offered a place in this nursing home, excellent service from top to bottom matron always willing to listen and explain everything staff very caring and brilliant in their work. Nothing too much trouble if they cannot give you answers to any concerns they will always get a nurse to
come and explain. Cleaning staff excellent everything spotless activities always engaging with residents kitchen spotless and excellent food.

My wife has lived in the Home for nearly three years. Her care is provided in a very kind, loving, patient and compassionate way. The Home communicates regularly with me if there are any issues and all staff working these are very friendly making me hot drinks when I visit and chatting to me about any
aspects of her care. The environment is very caring with good continuity of staff and high standards maintained by the Manager. I am reassured by the clinical knowledge of the registered nursing staff and my wife benefits from being part of the local Hospital 'virtual ward' concept having access to Consultants. I have recently moved my sister in law into the home and she is now benefitting from the loving care provided. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff for everything you do for my relatives.

I have visited with the residents wife of a few occasions. The care he and his wife received was extremely loving and caring.. Everything including my friend was very clean and well looked after. .he was kept well hydrated and thee, the care given in his final days was exceptional and i would highly
recommend the home to anyone.

Very friendly and welcoming staff who have so much time for you. They all show care and compassion to the job they are doing and they look after the residents/service users like they are family. The home had a lovely welcoming feel to it and felt more than happy that my friend was being very well looked
after and cared for. Thank you so much to all the staff who went out of their way to look after the guests and visitors while tending to the care and needs of the residents/service users. It makes the hard times so much more acceptable.

The care at Victoria House has been outstanding. All staff are compassionate and kind. My grandma has lived there for the last few months of her life. Despite being extremely high risk, her skin remained intact. She was at high risk of falls and frightened of being alone, they converted a room so she
could receive enhanced care. The symptom management of her bowel cancer was brilliant and her end-of-life care was second to none. The care extended to our entire family and we were welcomed into theirs. The infection prevention and control management is outstanding. Communication is empathetic and they have taken the time to speak to all of us. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for everything.

The home has good lead management which filters down to staff, then residents, which is pleasing to related people of the residents. The staff are always there to help, when asked and react in a positive way, leading to a good outcome. This brings great comfort in knowing your loved one is cared for.

As my mum approaches her 102nd birthday, I would like to register my unreserved gratitude and thanks for the work of all staff at Victoria House in preserving the highest quality of life possible for her. Over the last few years, staff have become almost a substitutionary family and comfort for a very
elderly resident. This is greatly reassuring for relatives, but particularly when, such as myself, I live some distance away and can only visit periodically. In the most difficult of years for all, they have provided a quality of care that is exemplary, and physically, my mum is probably looking healthier than she did even several years ago, prior to moving to Victoria House. It is difficult for anybody to witness the decline of loved ones, but that pain is significantly eased by the level of confidence that both my sister and I have gained in the care that we have seen provided. A big thanks to all who have spent time with her and cared for all her needs.

On a window visit to see my mother, I have not seen her look so well for years. She has, obviously, been locked after very well. Her hair was trimmed, washed and brushed. She had eaten well and was in very good spirits. The carers and management all knew her, she has only been at Victoria House for
two weeks. An absolutely wonderful find! Thank you.

Sadly my wife was admitted during the Lockdown period. Every effort was made for me to see and talk to my wife. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful on my visits.
