Oaktree Hall & Lodge is a residential home providing specialist dementia care, day care facilities and respite care.

The extended Georgian manor house is set within five acres of grounds, built on the edge of Bessingby village which lies on the outskirts of Bridlington.

Accommodation is provided in single occupancy bedrooms and some double rooms, a number of which have en-suite facilities. Hospital beds, air mattresses, pressure cushions along with other aids, can be offered to make each residents stay more comfortable.

Oaktree Hall & Lodge’s approach to residential care focuses on ensuring that a wide range of activities and social events are regularly organised, such as functions and events, film nights, card and board games and many more. Birthdays of residents are always celebrated.

The home takes pride in providing tasty, tempting meals for residents. Mealtimes are regarded as enjoyable social occasions for most residents, although those who wish to eat their meals in their own rooms are enabled to do so. Each resident will be asked for their individual food preferences as well as their cultural, religious or health needs and these will be taken into account when planning menus.

Staff are always very pleasant and helpful. My aunt seems very content and always appears well looked after. The home is always clean and comfortable.

I visit a lady twice a month. She is always clean, and the areas I see are always clean and tidy. There are nice views from the upstairs windows. There are always signs of activities; the staff try to do with the residents. A lot of the residents appear to have dementia needs and don't interact much.

My dad is in this care home. The staff are very friendly and approachable and take extremely good care of him. Dad has had a few falls and trips to the hospital for checkups to make sure he is alright, all thanks to the staff looking after his needs. Staff make sure Dad eats a well-balanced diet as
he is very small and had lost a lot of weight, but is now putting some back on. O can relax knowing my dad is getting the best care and attention from the staff. Dad has dementia but knows his carers really do care, and so do I. Thanks to all the staff.

The last few weeks have been challenging in many ways for my mother, who is very troubled and cannot understand everyday things now and is not easily settled at all. The staff have dealt with these problems as they have arisen in a competent manner as is the nature of their training very difficult.

I am extremely happy with the care my mum receives every day. My mum has suffered from a stroke, which has left her with emotional needs, and all the carers and management help her with the special needs that she now has. I am never worried about my mum because she has all the help and support she needs.

My father has been a resident of Bessingby Hall for more than two years. He is very settled at the home, and the carers have got to know him really well and look after him really well with the respect and dignity he needs. The home communicates with me regularly, which was a Godsend. During Covid,
they always keep me informed of any changes or development, and I am more than happy with the home.

The staff at the home are extremely friendly and approachable and really do look after my father. My dad has a good relationship with the staff and tells me he is happy. There are lots of activities that my dad gets involved with.

This is my first time visiting grandma at Bessingby Hall after coming back from overseas. When we arrived grandma was at ease and relaxing downstairs. All the staff were very caring and polite. The hall organised a great open day with lots of entertainment. We visited Grandam's room which was lovely.
It was homely, clean, tidy and had a nice view of the garden. Grandma seemed very happy. The staff were very friendly and attentive but also let us all catch up together without interruption. This is a great place for Grandma and we are hugely appreciative.
