Oaktree Hall & Lodge is a residential home providing specialist dementia care, day care facilities and respite care.

The extended Georgian manor house is set within five acres of grounds, built on the edge of Bessingby village which lies on the outskirts of Bridlington.

Accommodation is provided in single occupancy bedrooms and some double rooms, a number of which have en-suite facilities. Hospital beds, air mattresses, pressure cushions along with other aids, can be offered to make each residents stay more comfortable.

Oaktree Hall & Lodge’s approach to residential care focuses on ensuring that a wide range of activities and social events are regularly organised, such as functions and events, film nights, card and board games and many more. Birthdays of residents are always celebrated.

The home takes pride in providing tasty, tempting meals for residents. Mealtimes are regarded as enjoyable social occasions for most residents, although those who wish to eat their meals in their own rooms are enabled to do so. Each resident will be asked for their individual food preferences as well as their cultural, religious or health needs and these will be taken into account when planning menus.

Lovely staff, very compassionate and looked after my mother-in-law during her passed day. Dealt with difficult family members in a kind and patient way. Sadly Mum in law passed in hospital but the care she received was exceptional. Every decision made was in Mum in laws best interests.

Our daughter is currently in Bessingby Hall for respite care after having a large stroke. We were slightly apprehensive of her being placed in a home, but our worries have been short lived as the care and the staff have been excellent, very compassionate and caring. We would have no problem in recommending
Bessingby to anyone! We cannot thank all the staff enough for their fantastic care!

My brother is very happy here, he compliments the staff and says the food is good. He likes to watch the wildlife in the gardens, deer, rabbits and birds etc. This is an easy place to get to and parking is next to the front door.

It sure is a relief and comfort to see Mum so happy and well cared for. We know she is being properly looked after by a great team who really care about all their residents. The facilities at Bessingby Hall are very good allowing residents to have fun with a full social program (if they want to).

Very good first impression, travelled for three hours to see my uncle for the first time here. Lovely building, friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings.
My uncle seemed to be very well cared for - it is reassuring as I live so far away.

What a wonderful place. Lots of staff are all very knowledgeable about dementia. Very clean and all my father's needs have been met. The care in this home is superb. My father is kept very clean and all his clothes are freshly clean. His bedding is always fresh and clean. He eats all his meals and is
offered food that he is known to prefer. When I phone the care home the call is answered straight away and they always have time to chat.

A wonderful home, full of love and care. Amazing staff, gentle, caring, full of laughs and humour. Beautiful gardens - downstairs reception rooms all have gorgeous views which lift up your heart. A perfect place for people who need help, safety combined with the freedom to spend the day as you wish.
One last thought, a couple of dogs might be very beneficial - a great comfort to residents.

My mother recently moved to Bessingby Hall in a poor state, and within 2/3 days, there was a big improvement in her mobility and eating. She is beginning to interact with those around her due to the care and attention given by the staff.
