My husband was only a resident for a month for end-of-life care. I cannot speak too highly of the care, compassion and support he received during this time. This level of car was also extended to myself and my daughter. All the staff were fantastic from the cleaner to the manager. I cannot comment on the food or activities as unfortunately, my husband was not well enough to eat much or participate in anything. Superb service.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with St Mary's Care Centre during such a difficult time. We are deeply moved by your kind words and are honoured to have been able to care for your husband during his final days. It means a great deal to us that you felt supported and...
However, she has, on occasion mentioned that some meals could be improved and that some of her laundry has gone missing.
The staff are always friendly, helpful and obliging. It is good to know that my mother is happy, safe and cared for as we are not always around to visit.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your mother's experience at St. Mary's Care Centre. We're delighted to hear that she has made friends, enjoys the activities and feels happy, safe and well-cared for by our friendly and helpful staff. We appreciate your constructive comments regarding the...
Mum has been in the care centre for the past eight years and has been content.
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you're satisfied with the care and that our day carers have been wonderful with your Mum. We'll take your comments about the food on board as we strive to improve our services. Thank you for trusting us with your Mum's care over the past eight years.
The carers are very friendly and professional in their approach to caring.
The office staff are also very friendly and keep me informed at all times.
The facilities are excellent, well-maintained and very clean.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We're delighted to hear that you're pleased with the care provided and that our staff and facilities meet your expectations. Your kind words mean a lot to us.
Previous to my aunt living here another aunt and my mother also lived here before they died. Hopefully, when I need them there will be a bed. Do I need to say more.
Thank you for your heartfelt review. We're delighted to hear that your aunt is happy and well cared for at St Mary's Care Centre. It's an honour to have provided care for your family members over the years, and your trust means a great deal to us. We'll be here for you whenever you need us. Thank you for your kind words and continued support.
My father has been at St Mary's Care Home for just over 4 months. It was hard for him and I to accept that this was a necessary step. But, the staff was very informative, supportive and helpful during the moving process and every day since then. I'm so glad my father is now safe and so well cared for. He's happy, has gained weight and is as feisty as ever! The team is very good at communicating with me and helping Dad communicate with the family (8-hour time difference!). Thank heavens for the respect, help and care St Mary's provides for Dad and the family.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how challenging it can be to make the decision to move a loved one into care, and we're glad to hear that our team was able to provide the support and information you needed during the transition. It's wonderful to know that your father is happy,...
My mother has been St Mary's for 6 years, she has received very good care during that time. During that time there have been some big changes, mainly due to changes in management but also major events like Covid. Now the management is stable I can see an overall improvement with a more stable workforce. However, the lack of a chef for long periods has been an issue. The home is spotless and the laundry service is excellent. The staff are very good and adjust well to the changing needs of your relatives. My mother suffered a very bad infection last year and needed hands-on care to aid her recovery, as she has improved they have encouraged her independence. There are plenty of activities for residents and regular events.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that your mother has received very good care during her six years at St Mary's and that you've noticed improvements in our stable management and workforce. We appreciate your patience during the challenging periods and take your comments...
Mum has been a resident at St Mary's Care Centre since September 2022, she has dementia, which is now progressing rapidly, but the care staff at St Mary's have been magnificent, they fully understand Mum's needs and requirements and are always friendly, courteous, and efficient, and they keep us fully informed of Mum's situation. Mum loves her room, which is light and airy and has a lovely view over the gardens, and like the care staff, the cleaning staff work hard to ensure that not only the residents' rooms but the whole of St Mary's is kept in an immaculate condition. Meals at St Mary's are wholesome and nutritious and the Menu is changed on a regular basis. The activities staff work very hard to provide a varied programme of activities. I cannot thank the staff and management at St Mary's Care Centre highly enough, and would not hesitate to recommend St Mary's Care Centre to anyone looking for a residential care home.

Our son was unsure about staying at St Mary's but when he left he was looking forward to his next stay. He has enjoyed the company, good food, and having fun with the staff. As older carers, this is a real help to us knowing he is safe and well cared for. Thank you so much.

My father was almost dead from neglect from his in-home caregivers. My sister-in-law flew from the U.S. to intervene (started giving him '40 sips'). Thank goodness we were able to get a room for him with you. It's a miracle! He's eating all his food. He is recovering quickly and noticeably! We know he is now safe (he does too). In my entire life, I have never seen him so content. I know now that if we can't be with him when his time comes he will not be alone. God bless everyone at St Mary's Care Centre!

We brought a bedridden, dying 94-year-old in and ten days later, the transformation was amazing. He had been taken out in a wheelchair and also was eating in the dining room and interacting with other residents. The staff are brilliant with him and he told me he loves it. Looking forward to chair exercises and a visiting singer. Nothing short of a miracle!

Dad has been to St Mary's twice for respite care and it's always been a relief to know he will be well cared for. The staff are all friendly and professional, always encouraging him to get involved. He complains about the food and the bedrooms could do with an update (shelves/better storage and decor).
We greatly appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that your dad has found comfort and care during his stays at St Mary's. Our team strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment and it's wonderful to know that you've found our staff to be friendly and professional. We also appreciate...
I visit my friend at this home often, and it’s a really nice home. All the staff are absolutely lovely. They really look after my friend and me, always offering cups of tea and snacks. The lady in charge is really lovely and always smiling and welcoming.

My Grandmother lives here and everything about this place is exactly what my family had hoped for, the building is always clean, the staff are friendly and the care received by my grandmother is amazing. Since arriving she has gone from strength to strength. The home manager is also very understanding and always has time to listen and help us in any way we need. Overall I would never put any of my family in any other facility.
Thank you so much for your review! We are thrilled to hear that St Mary's Care Centre has met and exceeded your family's expectations. It is wonderful to know that your grandmother is thriving and receiving amazing care from our dedicated staff. We appreciate your kind words about our clean...
Mum has resided in St Marys for 3 months now, after being admitted from hospital for nursing care. Her care has been first class, not only from the nursing staff but from each and every carer, who is not only kind and compassionate but jolly and fun at the same time. There are always smiles and laughter in St Marys, which is a medicine in itself. Mum is always treated with dignity and kindness and as an individual. Family and friends are always welcomed and kept well informed. Well done to all the staff at St Marys, you should all be very proud of the “home” you’ve created for all of your Residents.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. That's wonderful to hear! It's truly heartening to know that your mum is receiving exceptional care at St Mary's. The acknowledgement of the compassionate nature of our staff, along with the emphasis on individualised and person-centred care and...
The care my dad has received in St Marys is second to none. Professional and caring staff, they have kept me informed at all times of what has been happening with Dad. The manager has been there for me at the most difficult time and done everything to help me, which I really appreciate. Many thanks to a fantastic team.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is a privilege to care for your dad. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the St Marys Care Centre family.
My grandma was in this home initially for respite and then became a resident. All staff played a vital role in her care and it was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The relationship they had was amazing with Grandma, which gave me peace of mind that she was in good hands. The accommodation is superb, entertainment programmes great, with lots of effort put into them. As a family member, you can also take part and are included. The communication and attention to detail, faultless. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to be able to care for your grandma. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will, of course, pass them on to the St Marys Care Centre family.
From our first visit to view St Marys Care Centre to when we took Mum home (one month), we could not have wished for more. All the staff are extremely helpful, happy and approachable. Nothing was a problem. When we left after a visit, which was every day, it was comforting to know that Mum was in a safe and friendly environment. If we need to use a care home again, St Marys would be the first place we would contact.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It was a privilege to care for your mum. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the St Marys Care Centre family.
After 18 months as a resident, I think my wife continues to receive excellent care and support. The care home has excellent staff who demonstrates compassion, emotional intelligence and a splendid sense of humour!
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your wife. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the St Mary's Lodge team.
