Thank you for your review; this is much appreciated
They are a great bunch;
I've not been able to visit her inside since the start of the Covid, but the team have bent over backwards to enable me and my daughter to use their iPad, phone and mobiles to allow us to do calls/FaceTime call with her.
I have seen the team make a huge effort on special occasions (Birthday/Easter/Christmas), and I'm sure my mother feels like they are friends and family to her, and that's heartwarming.
Although her memory is poor, I know the team are doing their best to keep the residents occupied with various activities, and I feel reassured that she is comfortable and safe. I think they do a fantastic job.
Many thanks for your review; this is very much appreciated.

Jayne Boothby is the proud Home Manager of St Mary’s Nursing Home.
After caring for her Grandfather, Jayne decided that this was the career for her and has stayed for over 30 years.
Starting her career in nursing, Jayne was later been Clinical Nurse Manager at a Hull Nursing Home and is vastly experienced in operating homes similar to St Mary’s.
This experience enables Jayne to have good working relationships with healthcare professionals in the area. An important fact when dealing with new residents is that these relationships ensure a frictionless move from home or hospital into St Mary’s Nursing Home.
Jayne is a natural caregiver; this is apparent when you first walk into St Mary’s Nursing Home. This friendliness is reflected in the care team, all of whom are warm and helpful, easing the transition into a care setting for all new residents.
Outside of work, Jayne is a keen Angler and supports the “Hull Fishing Heritage Centre “of which her husband, Jerry, is chairman.
The Centre provides people with information, artefacts, and resources to help them understand the role of fishing in Hull’s heritage and identity.
