My mother has been a resident at Ashlea Court for the past four years and has recently celebrated her 105th birthday. She is cared for and respected by all the staff and I have nothing but praise for all the staff working at the home.

My sister has recently been taken into care at Ashlea Court. It was thought and expected to be a difficult and traumatic experience for my sister whilst transferring from her own home to this care facility. It was envisaged that she would be awkward, stubborn and rejective of the move and whilst this move had to be undertaken, I also expected for her to become withdrawn, non-cooperative and self-isolating from the staff and other residents at the home. The actual reality is so far from the above comments that I am just so pleased with her progress and integration into all things at Ashlea Court. The staff at the home have been, and continue to be, just wonderful in their caring nature and skilled approach to ensure my sister is made to feel a welcomed and respected resident at the care home. They provide a safe, warm and secure environment for my sister to enjoy and receive the care and attention she requires. I now realise this was the right place for my sister.

I recently had to put my aunt into a care home and chose Ashlea Court. I could not have chosen better. The staff are friendly, kind and welcoming and have worked wonders with my aunt, who was very reluctant to go into a home. She is being cared for, stimulated, entertained and (I would go as far as saving) loved by the extremely wonderful team of staff there. Their exceptional manner and patience with her has meant she is looking and feeling better than she has in a very long time. I cannot thank them enough and will forever be in their debt for everything they have done and continue to do for her. I would like to pay particular thanks to the current deputy manager who has gone over and above to ensure my aunt settled as quickly as possible. She has been incredible - thank you so much. Keep up the fabulous work ladies.

My neighbour came here after a fall and her dementia worsened. She's been very well looked after and is fondly considered among all the staff. I've got to know lots of the residents and staff over the last year or so and look forward to my Tuesday visits. My friend is in good hands!

My dad is currently in respite care for a week for the first time. We have been very pleased with the excellent care both physically and emotionally he has received. Staff are always open and welcoming to visiting family and the whole place has a homely and calm feeling. We hope to make this a regular event and would not hesitate to recommend this home and its wonderful staff to others.

The carers are good and well trained. The food is good for the residents and there is a good atmosphere in the home. Friendly and welcoming staff. My mum has been at Ashlea Court for 7 1/2 years. She is quite frail and has dementia. I can ring or go to visit any time which is great. They really are kind to my mum. However her hearing aid and teeth have been lost, but these things can be replaced. The priority is Mum's wellbeing and they do care about her. I can go to the manager, or senior carers, if I am worried about anything and they will try their best to put it right.

I am very happy with this service and care being provided for my 95-year-old father, and formerly my mother prior to her death in January 2016. The staff are very helpful and hardworking in all areas of the home. I am kept informed about all issues affecting my father's well-being and will continue to use Ashlea Court for the wonderful service they provide.

I have visited this home recently and found the staff to be helpful and kind, there is a very homely atmosphere and my friend seems very content living there. I had the opportunity to sit outside within the courtyard which was a lovely environment to enjoy a chat and a cup of tea with my friend.

I entered this home in February 2013 to await an operation for a new hip and hernia. There was 24hr nursing care then and I was well cared for. Eventually, new owners took over and the home became purely residential in 2016. Today it is more like a home environment. To this end, the owners and management try to create this by res/family meetings and surgeries to deal with any concerns. Redecoration and refurbishment is taking place and the wishes of res and family consulted. It is surely imperative that senior carers should, amongst other things they do, make sure that things are seen to be done and not just accept ticked boxes. This home and others help prevent NHS beds being overloaded. However, there must be more transparency between Gov and councils on the question of who pays fees. Many care home residents, this one included, have to use their hard earned savings to subsidise others, very unrewarding.

My mother has been in the care of Ashlea Court since March 2015 and my father also was cared for there for 3 years previous and passed away in the home.
The family found the carers were excellent and very approachable.
The senior carers kept the family informed of any issues.
The staff from the top right down to the laundry and kitchen staff were excellent.

The family recommend this home for its care and friendliness of all the staff.
