My mother was treated with care and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. We were often given information relating to both the home and Mum's health and well being.
Owners, manager and staff were all professional, friendly and caring.
Housekeeping was good. Nurses monitored Mum regulatory for pain, discomfort and bed sores.

Our family felt Mum was very well looked after. Sadly Mum has passed away.

After looking at many care homes this one excelled. I am very happy with the care my dad receives here and it's like a hotel in my opinion. The food is all homemade and nourishing and cake time is delicious. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. There is lots going on with activities should my dad want to do it. Should maintain 5*

Everyone I have dealt with has been very warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain systems and processes in a clear and concise manner. I have seen genuine care, kindness and support given to residents in a thoughtful way. There is a feeling of belonging within the calm, ordered environment, whereby everyone matters, however long they stay. I feel able to raise any issue or concern and know that it will be dealt with in a supportive and timely fashion. Thank you.

My mum is very ill. She can no longer feed herself, get out of bed or even turnover.
She has gotten very thin and gets distressed.

The care home gives her excellent care. The nursing team is excellent. The food is marvellous and there are lots of activities. A lot of thought goes into the resident's well-being. I am very grateful for this place. Wouldn't want her anywhere else.

Our father's care in the past 6 months has been first class. The care staff, nursing staff, catering staff and domestics, all display a pleasant attitude at all times.
The staff's attention to those in their care is a great comfort to our father and to us both.

The managements recognition of the value of the staff resource is a major factor in the success of the overall business.

Zuzanna Kubacka

My journey within Marjara Care Group began when I joined the company as a 19-year-old care assistant while studying. From the very beginning, I developed a passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting older people to live fulfilling lives. Over the years, I progressed through a number of roles including Senior Carer, Clinical Lead and Registered Manager, gaining invaluable practical experience and developing my leadership skills at every stage.

To broaden my knowledge and experience, I took a career break from Marjara Care Group and joined another care provider as a Deputy Area Manager. This role gave me the opportunity to oversee multiple services, strengthen my operational management skills and gain valuable insight into different approaches to care governance and quality assurance. After this experience, I returned to Marjara Care Group as Operations Manager and Registered Manager, where I now oversee the organisation's three care homes.

I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology with Coaching and have completed a Level 7 qualification in Senior Leadership and Management. I strongly believe that effective leadership is about supporting people, developing teams and creating a positive culture where residents receive the highest possible standard of care.

Today, I work closely with each Home Manager and Head Senior across our three locations to ensure our homes continue to provide safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services. I am passionate about continuous improvement, staff development and creating environments where both residents and colleagues can thrive.

Outside of work, I am a proud wife and mother of two sons. My family is incredibly important to me and helps to remind me every day of the value of compassion, respect and treating every resident as I would want my own loved ones to be treated.

Katy Robinson
Katy RobinsonJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2013

I began my career in health and social care in 2014 as a Care Assistant, having previously studied at North Lindsey College, where I completed my Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care alongside all mandatory training. From the very beginning, I have been passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring every individual is treated with dignity, respect and compassion while supporting them to live fulfilling lives.

My dedication and commitment to providing exceptional care were recognised early in my career, and I was promoted to Senior Carer. In this role, I developed a wide range of skills, including leading and supporting care teams, mentoring new staff, coordinating shifts, administering medication safely, creating and reviewing care plans, carrying out risk assessments, liaising with healthcare professionals and relatives, and ensuring care was delivered in line with regulatory standards. This role strengthened my leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, while reinforcing the importance of delivering consistently high standards of care.

In 2022, I was promoted to Head of Care, where I took on greater responsibility for overseeing the delivery of person-centred care, supporting staff development, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a positive culture within the home. In 2023, I progressed into the role of Deputy Manager, where I continue to work closely with both residents and colleagues to ensure the home provides a safe, caring and supportive environment for everyone.

Alongside my career progression, I have remained committed to my own professional development. I successfully completed my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, followed by my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

These qualifications have enhanced my knowledge, leadership skills and understanding of effective care management, enabling me to support both residents and staff to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I am incredibly proud of my journey within the care sector and remain passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of those we support. I believe that compassionate, person-centred care, strong leadership and continuous learning are key to creating an environment where residents feel valued, respected and truly at home.

My journey in the Human resources/Administrative sector began while I was studying for my Master’s degree in Project Management. During this time, I worked as a Human Resources Assistant, where I developed a strong foundation in HR administration, including maintaining staff records, supporting recruitment processes and assisting with employee onboarding.

Following the completion of my Master’s degree in 2023, I progressed into the role of HR Officer within a dementia nursing home in London. In this role, I gained valuable experience in managing HR operations within a regulated care environment, developing a clear understanding of compliance requirements and the importance of effective workforce management.

In 2026, I joined Marjara Care Group as an HR Officer, where I continue to build on my experience and contribute to the organisation. My role involves supporting recruitment, maintaining accurate staff documentation and ensuring compliance with CQC and Home Office requirements. Through my experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how effective HR practices support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive working environment where staff feel valued and empowered to perform their roles to the highest standard.

Nina Jones
Nina JonesJob Title:Front of the House Head Senior CarerJoined: 2019

My name is Nina, although some people know me as Christina—that is my given name, but Nina is the name I prefer to use.

I am 33 years old and began my career in care in August 2019. Shortly after joining Marjara Care Group, I was encouraged to progress into the role of AP. At first, I was sceptical because I didn’t believe the position was right for me. I lacked confidence, was quite shy, and didn’t feel comfortable sharing my opinions. I never imagined myself progressing within the organisation.

Over the years, however, I have grown both personally and professionally. I progressed to the role of Senior and am now proud to be a Head Senior. I believe teamwork is the foundation of my success. Without the support and collaboration of my colleagues, I don’t think I would be where I am today.

I am now much more confident in my role and strive to be someone my colleagues can rely on for support, just as I know I can rely on them. The most rewarding part of my job is providing care for our elderly residents in the same way I would want my own parents or grandparents to be cared for—with dignity, compassion, and respect. I treat every resident as if they were a member of my own family and enjoy building meaningful relationships with both the residents and their families.

I am always happy to help and pride myself on approaching every day with a positive attitude and a smile.

I have successfully achieved my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and I look forward to continuing my professional development by working towards further qualifications in the future.

Looking back, joining Sycamore was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has given me the chance to grow both personally and professionally, and I am proud of how far I have come. I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside such an amazing team and to have the support of the best manager.
