Oak Trees is a lovely, small, caring, home that almost has the atmosphere of a country house. My Aunt has lived there for over 2 years, is comfortable and nicely looked after by an informed, patient, stable and skilled group of staff. We have never had occasion for significant complaint, we are always welcomed and are kept informed. The Matron has a lovely manner with the residents and their families and the home is beautifully kept. Food is freshly prepared and looks tasty and appropriate assistance is usually offered. The building is well positioned and maintained, warm, clean and welcoming. My Aunt is treated with respect and dignity and all necessary care is given. We count ourselves lucky that she lives in so good a care home and recommend Oak Trees without reservation.
My Mother, who is unable to walk and suffers from dementia, mainly short-term memory loss, is treated with respect, kindness and good humour. The environment at Oak Trees is professional but in a friendly way. We are always made welcome whenever we visit and I am very pleased that there was a place free for my Mother when she needed it. We would recommend Oak Trees without hesitation.
Mum has been in Oak Trees Care Home for four years and we have never had any complaints. Staff are always friendly and approachable.
We are very pleased with the care of our mother. She is totally reliant on the staff for her every need and they are more than happy and capable to do the job. My mother has been there for 15 months and this is the longest she has been without pneumonia or sepsis so I think that says a lot about her nursing care.
The kind, considerate care he received soon helped him settle in.
All the family are made welcome too whenever we choose to visit.
Altogether a very safe and caring place to be.
My mother came here in July 2016, very poorly and totally non-ambient!! However, her recovery has been nothing more than remarkable due to the caring and friendly and committed staff at Oak Trees! The staff are so good it is impossible to pick any single person out, from the matron right down to the dining and cleaning staff, all are committed to making each resident part of a family. Any person considering a placement for an elderly relative then this care home definitely goes above and beyond in ensuring the health and well-being of their residents. My father has remained at home and when he went to the hospital the staff went out of their way to make regular pop in chats to ensure mum was not feeling too down! My mum is still alive due to the excellent care she is receiving.
