Hi, my name is Chloe, and I am the General Manager here at Rivermead. I started my career in care when I was 18, supporting people in the community. I qualified as an RMN from the University of York in 2014 and, since then, have worked in a variety of roles within mental health services.
I joined Barchester in May 2025 to explore social care and bring my skills and knowledge to contribute to the care of residents and support my colleagues in their roles.

Hi, my name is Becky, and I am the homes Administrator. My Job as the home administrator is to ensure all the finances are up to date and all records are kept up to date.
The role is varied, and there are many aspects to what we complete as a team, but no two days are the same, and there is rarely a quiet moment. I love the hustle and bustle and always have a smile for everyone.
Charlotte is the friendly face you’ll see when you arrive at reception here at Rivermead. As our Admin Assistant, she plays a key role in keeping the home running smoothly—welcoming visitors, supporting residents and families, and assisting the team with day-to-day administration. Her warm, approachable manner helps create a positive first impression and ensures everyone feels at ease. Charlotte was inspired to join Barchester after her dad lived in one of our sister homes, giving her a personal insight into the care and compassion we provide.
That experience motivated her to be part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two daughters, making the most of family life.
Mandy is a valued part of the team, and she is the unit manager of the Sunset Unit. Mandy has been a nurse for over 20 years, specialising in different parts of nursing. Mandy is our wellbeing champion and enjoys every aspect of her job.
Mandy enjoys working with dementia residents, making their day filled with happiness. Mandy is kind, approachable and sensitive. In her spare time, Mandy enjoys spending time with her cats and her family, whilst enjoying the outdoors. Mandy is attentively known as ‘Auntie Mandy’ to many members of staff, a role which suits her perfectly.
Amanda brings over 20 years of extensive nursing experience to her role as Nurse and Unit Manager at Rivermead. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong foundation in clinical care, patient management, and team leadership.
Amanda's comprehensive knowledge and hands-on approach enable her to oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit with confidence and compassion. As a dedicated leader, Amanda is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where both residents and staff feel valued and empowered. She prioritises person-centred care, ensuring that every resident's individual needs, preferences, and well-being are at the heart of all decisions.
Sarah, along with her team, is responsible for the catering service throughout the home.
She plans menus with input from residents and relatives to ensure balanced, nutritious meals throughout the day.
Menus change four times a year to reflect seasonal produce and ensure variety. Sarah has worked in the catering industry for around 22 years in hotels, pubs, restaurants and care homes.
