Overall Experience
Whilst visiting a family friend, I was received by a very friendly member of staff at reception and was shown where my friend was. I was struck by how nice everyone was and gave me the impression that the staff are very caring towards the residents.
I myself was offered a cup of tea and a sandwich to eat with my friend. The staff were attentive and very friendly.

On leaving I spoke to one of the senior members of staff just to say how happy I was that my relative was here and being cared for by such nice people.

Welcomed with a smile by staff. We were offered a cup of tea or coffee and made to feel welcome. Our friend was treated with kindness and helped to move somewhere more private for our visit.

A comfortable friendly environment for my father he called it home which meant an awful lot to his children.
Staff are ready to answer our questions and help and explain decisions made.

Since a new manager, onsite staff seem happier and more cohesive.

My husband is being extremely well cared for in Sowerby House. The staff are caring and very kind and interact well with the residents. The food is excellent and varied. The home is undergoing a programme of refurbishment, and lots of improvements have been made in the last few months. The management team are doing a great job.

After many changes, a lovely group of people now staff the home. I can't fault their dedication and professionalism every time I am there.

Much decoration has taken place over the last year and now the home is light and airy and very clean.

First impressions, the care home is extremely clean and looks very comfortable. Extremely friendly staff. When I speak to my brother, he says he always has adequate and enjoyable food options.
They have been doing some decorating and it all looks lovely and fresh.

I take my dog in to see my brother and sit in the lounge and everybody loves to see him.
