On making the hard decision to put my mum into a care home (especially during a pandemic) I cannot express my thanks enough for the care and dedication that all the staff at Amarna gave my mum. After a month my mum came alive again. Chatty, witty and back to how she used to be. Her humour and laughter shone. It was the right decision and the right setting for my mum. They listened to me and to my mum (even though she had dementia) and they couldn't do enough for us. They had regular activities and took them in the grounds on sunny days which my mum loved (sitting with a drink). Highly recommend.

Due to Covid restrictions, it is very difficult to give a true review of all the facilities as we are not allowed in rooms, kitchen, dining etc, however, the team that is looking after our mum are very kind and caring, we know she is in the best place for her circumstances. It is very upsetting having to put a loved one in a home but we know she is being cared for. Wish we could see her more often without masks, gloves and aprons and try to get back to as normal as possible under the difficult situation we found ourselves in last November.

With the current Government Covid-19 guidelines still in place, we have to ensure our residents and their loved ones remain safe at all times, therefore PPE is still mandatory for all visitors. During the time that my brother has been in the care of Amarna House the level of care has been outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble - the patience and understanding of his needs on all levels have been met. The kindness for the family during a very difficult time has been amazing and I cannot thank them all enough for all that they do on every level. On visiting, we are made very welcome and the example set of how things should be run is right there!

In the few months that mum has been staying in this care home, we have seen a remarkable improvement in both mum's physical and mental well being. The colleagues are all so kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble when we ask for any help.
