I visit my friend on a regular basis and have always been impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the warmth and cleanliness of the facilities and the courtesy and respect afforded to my friend by the staff.

Wonderful staff - always cheerful - they take enormous trouble to give residents what they would like. This is NOT an easy job!

We were greeted on arrival with welcome smiles and greetings. The room has a large window, not much view but bright skies and treetops in view. The food is appetising and plentiful.
Frequent offers of drinks, biscuits or cake and once a beautiful birthday cake!

The place is always warm and clean. The dining room is bright. The carers approach is to give time for answers and no pressure in having to comply to any rules if my husband does not want to do and care is given to keep him safe.

Since coming to Amarna House, Grandma has settled comfortably due to the personalised and attentive care she receives from the wonderful staff on her unit. My Mum is one of the most important things to me. I visited several homes for her and as soon as I walked in the Amarna House I just knew it was the perfect place for her. Friendly, welcoming bend over backwards to please everyone. I feel it is my second home. The Manager and all the staff are amazing. I never have to worry about Mum. She is very very happy here.

My wife is experiencing her third year here and despite Parkinson's plus "failed" hip operation can be a challenging case. The experienced and young carers, manage her needs promptly and with excellent care. On my frequent visits, I have observed the same support and care received by other residents.

Review from Kate B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 July 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Mum has been a resident since July 2016 and Dad since December 2016. During their stay, we have been delighted with the care they have received. Their safety is always paramount to the staff and they are always treated with the utmost dignity and compassion. The staff are always supportive to the families needs and anxieties and are WONDERFUL whenever I speak to them. The rooms are clean and comfortable although a little small. Mum requires hoisting and sometimes we do find it a little tight fit for her and her belongings, the staff and hoist. The food is simple but wholesome and Mum and Dad's requests are always met with a smile but I don't think they make the 3 course and wine description in the current Avery Healthcare brochure. Medication is always given on time and daily. Excellent activities provided in the lounge but no facilities for wheelchair access.

Every time I visit my friend I am treated in a very friendly and helpful way by all staff. Including the front desk and office staff, I know my friend has much improved in health since moving here. I'm sure a lot of this is due to the way she is treated, looked after and entertained, and have no reason not to recommend.
