This purpose built care home offers accommodation in single occupancy rooms, all of which are with en-suite facilities.
Byker Hall provides a TV lounge and a quiet sitting room on each floor. The home also provides separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with daily menus being available. Special diets can be catered for.
Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and a qualified chiropodist. Complementary therapies can be arranged for residents.

My brother and I were worried and quite reluctant to put my mam into care but once we came to Byker Hall, we felt relief that Mam was going to live in a special place. Apart from great care, I am amazed at all of the entertainment and fun everyone has.

My mother-in-law was in Byker Hall for nearly five years. Initially, her dementia was such that she was able to participate in all activities, even helping wash up! She was taken to the pantomime and excursions out for ice cream. She loved the staff and felt very secure. Towards the end, when she was bedridden, the staff were extremely attentive, even though, at times, there weren't enough of them. When she passed recently, they were very sensitive and clearly upset to lose her. They are amazing people.

We have addressed the problem with the banging door and we are sorry to hear that it has annoyed your dad, if he experiences any more issues, do not hesitate to bring this to our attention. There is always management around to speak with. We are delighted to confirm we have revamped our activities planner too so I'm confident we will see an improved score in the future. We had a Pride event at the weekend where all residents attended and had great fun. We have many events and trips planned.

The home is very comfortable for my mam, good staff, good facilities and clean and tidy, not much more to add really, my mam likes it here.

My mum loves the staff on day and night shift, they are awesome people, she calls them her family which she's okay with and who she trusts the most. Even staff like her humour, she's always lighting up their day and night, that's who she is.
