My mam went into care after she had a fall she also has dementia we moved her from that care home to this so it is easier for dad to visit her without getting 3 lots of transport or waiting for someone to take him to see her. This was the best move we made she gets all the help she needs she is HAPPIER and more content in this care. Staff go above and beyond for all their residents I can't thank them enough. We as a family can't thank them enough fof their dedication.

Mam came into the care home beginning of December 2024 and has been cared for since her arrival. Cannot fault the carers or any other members of staff, they have been great with Mam. I would not have put her in Byker Hall Care Home if I was not satisfied, it has always been a good care home. She has been much happier since she came.

I can not speak highly enough for the care my mam receives in Byker Hall Care Home. All staff are kind and respectful of all of the residents.

My brother and I were worried and quite reluctant to put my mam into care but once we came to Byker Hall, we felt relief that Mam was going to live in a special place. Apart from great care, I am amazed at all of the entertainment and fun everyone has.

My mum was here for about five years, sadly she passed away in July but over the last five years, we couldn't have asked for anything better. She was cared for as if she was part of the family. It was always a friendly place to go into with lots of activities and entertainment for the residents to keep them busy.
Not only did they care for my mum but for my family too, we stayed with her for three nights in her room. They constantly came in to check we were ok as well as Mum. They provided us with a care pack with support sheets, coffee, tea, toiletries and much more. Such a caring touch for any family.

Amazing, caring staff throughout, including carers, cleaners and admin staff.

My mam was well cared for in Byker Hall Care Home. She was very happy and settled there and classed it as her 'home'. The staff were amazing, going over and above their normal duties. She was well looked after with all her needs being catered for. She has since passed away but we know she was happy and contented. Well done everyone, you are all stars!

My mother-in-law was in Byker Hall for nearly five years. Initially, her dementia was such that she was able to participate in all activities, even helping wash up! She was taken to the pantomime and excursions out for ice cream. She loved the staff and felt very secure. Towards the end, when she was bedridden, the staff were extremely attentive, even though, at times, there weren't enough of them. When she passed recently, they were very sensitive and clearly upset to lose her. They are amazing people.

Mum had been resident at Byker Hall Care Home for over 5 years, and was so well cared for. She struggled with her Alzheimer's, and was initially restless, but very soon settled into her new home. The entire staff were always caring and accommodating with both her, and our family.
She always said she felt safe and well looked after there.
Her room was fine, good facilities, any issues or requests we had were always dealt with in a timely manner.
She loved taking part in the arranged activities, especially ones that involved music and dancing, of which there seemed many.
As her illness progressed, her care became more 'hands on', but always first class from everyone.
As our mum's illness progressed, the staff couldn't be more helpful. They allowed us to stay in her room, brought us beds, and made sure we were comfortable.
Sadly, our mum passed away in July, but again, the management and staff were so professional and caring, and a massive help.

We have nothing but praise for everyone at Byker Hall.

Lovely setting, staff facilities.

Found communications a bit challenging, i.e. asking for chiropodist and whether they have been.

My mum loves the staff on day and night shift, they are awesome people, she calls them her family which she's okay with and who she trusts the most. Even staff like her humour, she's always lighting up their day and night, that's who she is.
