Dad went into the care home from hospital for a valuation but it was quickly apparent he was unlikely to improve. From the day he arrived to his passing, the standard of care, dignity and professionalism demonstrated was first class given the challenges of covid. My sisiter and I would like to show our sincere gratitude for the support given to us in order to see him through his final days. Particular praise to the deputy care manager and her team. It won't ever be forgotten.

Briardene has been looking after my mother since the start of September and they are doing an excellent job. My mother has a range of complex issues including Parkinsons Disease and Parkinsons Dementia which can make her difficult to deal with. However, Brairdene staff are doing a great job in caring for her.

The care home is well maintained, clean and nicely decorated.
Food is well presented, varied and smells delicious. My sister is clearly well satisfied on this score.

All of the staff and management are approachable at all times, knowledgeable and friendly. The carers come in for a special mention as they are efficient, friendly, cheerful and always say hello and use my first name and have a chat with me.

Briardene feels like a real home, not only for my mother but for her family too. The staff from the management to the cleaners and laundry staff all take an interest. The atmosphere is happy and welcoming. My mother, who had been mostly in and out of hospital, has had a much improved general level of health.

She settled well after 90 plus years in her own home. I can't speak highly enough of it.

The staff have been generally very caring and looked after my mother well. Laundry at times seems to go adrift but probably because marking some items -socks etc is very hard.

Placing a loved one in a care home is always a difficult decision and a painful experience. I cannot express how relieved and delighted I am by the standards of care and simple kindness at Briardene. I did not think places like this existed.

My father was admitted to Briardene Care Home after suffering a massive stroke in 2014. Unfortunately, the stroke was so large he was never going to recover. The staff at Briardene went out fo their wasy to make his final years happy and content and try to make him laugh again. I truly believe the care he was given helped him live that little bit longer.

Thank you very much Briardene.

Since the new manager has taken over you can feel the happiness return to the home. The nurses, carers, cleaners and kitchen staff are going a wonderful job. We feel we can go to the manager with anything we are unsure about and she listens. The entire home and the gardens have been uplifted. Well done to all who work there.

My sister became a resident of Briardene Care Home in January 2019. She needs full-time care because of her medical situation and dementia. I have found she gets wonderful care and is treated with dignity which is important. I have nothing but admiration for the whole staff. (Wonderful).

My dad was only in Brierdene for nine weeks and unfortunately he died at Brierdene on Sunday 17th March but all the care staff and the nursing staff were absolutely fantastic my dad could not of had better care in his end of life. The nurse and a Care assistant even attended my dad’s funeral which my mam very much appreciated. I will be forever grateful to all the staff who were genuinely upset when my dad died. Can not praise his care enough, many thanks to all the staff.

My mother-in-law was in hospital from April, but when she left she required 24 hour nursing for her last 12 weeks. During these weeks at Briardene there was never anytime we experienced anything but kindness and caring help from all the staff and we left her at night knowing she was in good hands, both medical and caring, and never had any worries.
