Over all time Dene Park House has 45 reviews.
Went to see my auntie and the care she receives is excellent.
Thank you so much for your review. We are happy that you are satisfied with our care. Once Covid is under control, we hope to expand our 'family' here at Dene Park and make many more happy memories.
In March 2019 I decided to look for some residential care for my mother who was 95 and finding it more difficult to live independently. I looked at 6 homes and the decision to choose Dene Park House in Gosforth was an easy one. I was given a tour of the home and I was really impressed with the friendly staff, clean premises and comfortable rooms. My mother settled in well and it wasn't long before she knew everyone and was taking part in activities. I cannot praise the staff at Dene Park highly enough. The care my mother received was first class. The staff not only cared for her but brightened her day, encouraged her and lifted her spirits if she was feeling a little down. There was always plenty of laughter and positivity around the place and my mother felt at home. Family and friends who visited also felt at home and were always welcomed. I am so grateful that I found the right place for my mother and will be eternally grateful to the staff at Dene Park House.
Thank you so much for your very kind review. It was our pleasure to look after your mum. It has been hard at times to keep our residents safe and happy but it all part of who we are as a care home.
I must praise the staff at Dene Park for keeping all residents safe during Covid-19. They have done everything in their power to let residents see family. I cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my mother.
Many thanks for your review. I hope we have looked after your mum as she is one of our own. It has not always been easy but we have done our best to keep our residents safe in these hard times. Hopefully, there will be happy times to come in the near future.
Communication regarding visiting during covid could have been better. Some staff are extremely helpful and friendly, this often determines my mother's mood as to which staff are on duty. When I was visiting the home pre-covid, the kitchen/bistro/coffee/tea facilities were poor. More could be made of the conservatory and outdoor space.
Thank you for your review. I have not been in the post very long but I hope you will enjoy the changes that have been made. We are all looking forward to welcoming families back into Dene Park. I promise you that you will be welcomed with a cup of tea.
Management staff always very professional, accomodating when visiting.
Thank you so much for this review. We are here to build our Dene Park 'family' and I appreciate your kind words. It makes my job very worthwhile.
My mother moved into Dene Park House last May 2020. She has got a new lease of life. The care she gets in there is 100%. I'm so happy, just to see how my mother is! Clean, smart but most of all, a smile back on her face, keep up the good work! I would also like to say my mam's carers are absolutely amazing. I met a couple of them when I had an outside visit, can't wait until I can come and see my mam again.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so glad you are happy with our care of your mum. I hope you can come into Dene Park soon and let us help you make some more happy memories. I know you will be made very welcome.
I have always found this care home extremely well run. Staff are very helpful with queries. The standards seem very good in my opinion.
Thank you for your kind words. I am the new manager of Dene Park House and hope to welcome you back to the home very soon. Times have been difficult recently but we have tried to keep our Dene Park 'family' safe and healthy.
I have nothing but the highest praise for the "treatment" my mother is receiving on a daily basis.
Since her arrival, she has improved just due to the care she receives and that includes me, as her daughter.
Really very dissatisfied with Dene Park. My Dad is now home again after less than two weeks here. It was an extremely difficult decision to put him in a care home and I do feel that we were misled on several issues and certainly, the assessment was a total waste of time. I will obviously be contacting various agencies on occurrences here which, unfortunately, I am unable to put in this review. Please look elsewhere for your loved ones.
Thank you for your review.
I would like to sincerely apologise that you feel the standard of care afforded to your father was not to a high standard.
We have taken your feedback seriously and will address this through our complaints procedure. An investigation has commenced and we will keep you and the relevant authorities updated of the outcome.
Excellent care of our 93 year old Mam, for 6 days respite care. Welcoming, caring, and good listeners to the family and Mam during her stay. Already booked for another 7 days stay later this year.
Thank you so much for your review, it was our pleasure and we look forward to welcoming you all back.
Staff are doing everything they can to make Mum feel settled and comfortable. Her appetite has come back. She is clean and often has her make up on, hair washed and nails cleaned. They get her up as much as possible, but let her stay in bed if she wants to. I can make her a cup of tea any time. They gave her a chair to make her more comfortable and regularly check her. They regularly get her to do activities and consult a GP wherever necessary. I am very happy with this home, although it is very expensive.
Thank you, Christine, so pleased to hear how happy you and your mum are with the care and support we provide.
I am quite happy with the care I receive. The care staff are all nice. Food is good quality. I enjoy the sing-a-long we do here.
Thanks, Lillian, we love the sing-a-longs too.
After my dad had his stroke he needed 24/7 care that my mother and I could not provide. Dene Park House stepped in to fulfil that role.
The staff were helpful and friendly. They made sure that my mother and I were ok when we visited.
My dad lived there until he passed away in January 2017. I am pleased to say a member of staff was with him in his last moments.
The staff at Dene Park House helped us through a difficult time.
The environment is pleasant and Dene Park is clean and well maintained. Staff went out of their way to support us to have a family meal together at Christmas, which was very comforting for both my parents. I will certainly be recommending Dene Park House.
It was a very traumatic time emotionally for our family when Mum was first admitted to Dene Park House. However, we need not have worried as everyone was so friendly, helpful and caring. Mum has settled there extremely well and loves feeling safe and secure. It is an enormous decision for any family to make when a loved one has to go into care but the manager and all her staff have made Mum feel so welcome. I am so pleased Dene Park House had a vacancy when we needed one.
After having numerous managers in the past 4 years, Dene Park now has a manager with commitment, genuine care for residents and an open door policy. Whenever I have a problem, query or concern it is discussed and the relevant solutions put into place.
Thank you for all your lovely positive comments. Your mother and nana is a lovely lady to nurse by all staff.
Our friend came to 'Dene Park House' after being in hospital for many weeks. Staff were warm and welcoming and have looked after and cared for her sympathetically and professionally. We are all really grateful to them.
Very nice home staff helpful and friendly, I feel safe and secure to leave my friend after a visit. She is happy and well looked after. If I have any concerns I can certainly seek help from the staff and management. I'm up to date with what is going on and I'm totally involved in her activities and well being.
Food is well cooked and attractively presented. The home is kept very clean. The safety of the residents is a high priority and everybody is aware of what is expected on entry and exit.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough as they do a tough job exceptionally well.
I live in the Midlands and I am, therefore, unable to visit my mother daily. I feel safe in the knowledge that she is being cared for and protected at all times.
