Kenton Manor

My mother has been in this home for over two years, she is always happy and well cared for, the staff are always kind and very caring with everyone, the home is always spotless, neat and tidy, always a lovely warm welcome, they ring us with my mother's progress report or concern, I always come away with peace of mind. So pleased and happy about everything the care home do for my mother, a big thank you to them all.

When I go to see my wife I am always well looked after and my wife is also well looked after.

My mum has only been a resident at Kenton Manor for four weeks and so far her care has been excellent, her room and the rest of the home are kept spotless and they are kept busy with the activities.

The home now recruits staff worldwide through sponsorship contracts, but they clearly have no experience of the care sector/the elderly, relevant training or qualifications. Sadly, I cannot recommend this home nor have faith in those who operate and manage it.

My husband went into Kenton Manor in March 2023 with dementia. Since being in Kenton Manor, he has received good care and attention. He found it difficult at first to settle, but with the help of the staff, he is fine now. He has a very nice room and plenty of food and drinks. The activities could be a bit better, but he seems to join in anything going.

Everyone is so friendly when I visit my cousin, she is very happy in what she calls her home. Safe and well looked after. The food is good, activities are good. Safety and security are excellent.

My mam was admitted to Kenton Manor in February 2023 and sadly passed away in April 2023. The family were so pleased that she received excellent care and support during this time. She had a lovely room which we were able to personalise, which was really important for her and us. We knew my mam was happy and content in her time there and we will forever be grateful to the staff

Amazing care home sees to all my husband's needs. Perfect staff, I can not fault this care home, right down to management. Well done.

Mam has responded well in Kenton Manor. She is eating and drinking well and is always clean and tidy. She responds positively to the staff and is always happy to see them when I have visited. The staff are very friendly and helpful and obviously care for Mam very well. Our family have all made similar positive comments and are greatly relieved to know Mam is in such excellent hands.

I have been extremely happy with the care that my dad has received since moving into the home in January of this year. My dad has been poorly on a few occasions but the staff have been great, getting a GP to visit my dad and keeping me informed of what was happening with his care. Now that Covid restrictions are more relaxed, the home has put on a few lovely activities for the residents including an enjoyable Jubilee Party in Kenton Manor’s well-kept garden. The beautiful garden was a major reason why I picked Kenton Manor over other homes. I would definitely recommend Kenton Manor.

Dad has settled into Kenton Manor very well. he is a lot happier here resulting in some lovely visits. He enjoys his meals, also peace and quiet in his room. I'm pleased with the care that's provided.

Today I visited my nanna for the first time, I was very nervous as I wasn't sure what to do but once I met the lovely staff they put me at ease. A lovely welcome and Easter celebrations with the residents, as well as Easter bonnets. My nanna's room was spotless and it had all her favourite pictures up.

My aunt seven months ago lived independently and drove her car and did her shopping with just my sister helping her carry it to her car. Her memory was starting to fail and Alzheimer's was diagnosed. She later had a funny turn, as she called it, and vascular dementia was diagnosed. She deteriorated rapidly had a fall at home and ended in hospital. After a catalogue of poor care, I brought her to Newcastle and placed her in a care home, very close to me that, I myself had worked in as an agency nurse; I knew the quality of care. I knew that they where never dragging her out of bed at 6am to be up for the day staff. I knew she would be looked after. My aunty last year had no idea who I was, prior to admission she stopped eating and drinking and lost her will to live. After moving to Kenton Manor she has started eating, drinking and now when I visit she recognises me and greets me with a smile. Thank you for bringing her back! This home actually cares.

The lies that go on in that place to cover up mistakes are amazing and every time I complain my visits go down. The change in my gran in a year is heartbreaking as it is most definitely not a good change. If you are looking for a new home for any loved one I would most definitely not recommend it.

I find Kenton Manor a clean nursing home, with a happy atmosphere where residents are treated with dignity. The management is always available to help. The nurses and the staff there are totally dedicated to the needs of the residents.

They have my respect and gratitude.

Kenton Manor may not tick all the bureaucratic boxes but it works so well for residents and relatives. As a relative, I can visit any time and feel well supported by intelligent and empathetic staff.

My mum and dad were very happy here. The staff and management were excellent, treating my parents with dignity and care at all times. The staff took time to engage with my parents whilst carring out their duties. They both ate and slept well and were very contented whilst staying here.
