Staff are excellent and very caring. I always felt comfortable when visiting my mother. The nurses always kept me informed as to how my mother was progressing and that gave me peace of mind!

Overall the standard of care received has been of high quality. Where there has been some limits in keeping me in touch with what has been happening during lockdown and when my father has appointments. I do regularly receive images and messages about what he is doing ie. activities he is involved with
and appreciate this last year has been very tricky for care home staff and management.

My father has received excellent care and support from Moorfield House since his admission direct from hospital. He has settled in well and physically much improved due to the residential and nursing support. I would like to commend the team for helping him make the transition to 24-hour care and am
reassured he is looked after well.

We were unable to view the home due to the pandemic, so had to make a decision based on reviews and also speaking to the manager and deputy manager. It has been a really good decision, and we couldn't be happier with the care provided. My dad always looks cared for, and staff are always available to
speak to, friendly and appear to know residents individually.

My aunt has been a resident at Moorfield for just over a year. The management and staff were excellent at making her feel at home and safe. Her wishes have always been taken into account. I am always contacted if she is unwell and kept informed. Staff are always helpful. I know she is happy and content
at Moorfield. I would highly recommend.

My friend was admitted to Moorfield House following a stay in hospital following a fall. She was made so welcome and was so well cared for that she settled well despite the sudden wrench from her own home. Every time I was able to speak to her and visit she was happy and spoke positively about the staff
and the activities she'd taken part in. She enjoyed the food too.

Open day activities were fantastic. My father enjoyed the Arts project and singer especially. An automatic front door would help with ease of access for wheelchairs.
New flooring has been installed to create a fresher atmosphere. Brilliant muriel on garden wall.

My husband has been at Moorfield for seven months and all his needs have been met in every way. Staff are kind and caring despite his difficulties they show patience.
The food is nice and the manager very supportive and smiley.

Always very clean and well aired. Permanent staff have good relationships with my relative. Weekly appointments with the hairdresser are very much enjoyed. Management always very responsive to family's requests or enquiries. Current activities coordinator makes a real difference to residents daily lives.
Chef is excellent and really missed when on leave!

Moorfield House has a pleasant atmosphere.
Staff are helpful and kind.
My husband is unable to walk so finding an activity would be difficult - sitting exercises would be welcome and, perhaps, singing. This is a difficulty where residents have different capabilities.

My wife was admitted to the nursing home on 24th June after spending weeks in hospital, then a hospice. The staff at Moorfield House received her with a warm welcome. She already knew the manager who visited the hospice to introduce herself. All the staff I've met during my visits to Moorfield House
have been friendly, kind and very caring. Long may it continue.

Since my mother was transferred to Moorfield House from hospital, the level of care has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and caring. The accommodation is very clean and the residents' laundry and hygiene needs are well looked after. She enjoys the food and is thriving on the social interaction.
The staff also take time to ensure the family are included and looked after which brings peace of mind to everyone.

I am very pleased with the care that my husband has received since he became a resident at Moorfield House in July 2018. The regular staff are excellent - agency staff are variable but mostly satisfactory.
My husband has been confined to bed for the last month and has required much personal care ie
turning every 2 hours to avoid pressure sores and I have been impressed with the efficiency and dignity with which this operation is carried out. My husband dislikes being handled and/or moved which can be quite difficult for the staff to deal with and they are always very careful with him.

After 14 years as a resident my mother. at the age of 90 suffered a further stroke which left her unable to drink water or eat food. I have sat with her for 9 days so far, at the end of her life. The care she has received from the staff here has been excellent, they show genuine affection and dedication
to her. That is true for the nursing staff, care workers and domestic staff too, I am very impressed.

Following discharge from the hospital, my husband needed 24-hour care. I visited Moorfield House and was impressed by their kindness and friendliness. Our elder son drove up from the South and also visited Moorfield House and was similarly impressed. My husband came to Moorfield House two days later.
The care and kindness shown to us all has been evident from the beginning. Any minor concern is attended to immediately and family members are welcome at any time.
The senior care officer is a wonderful lady and like her colleagues, works non-stop, but always has time to listen and act if necessary. Oh - and the chef is a gem.
My husband has been at Moorfield House since November 2017.

My dad was a resident in Moorfield until he passed away earlier this year.
I was delighted with the care he received in Moorfield and could not speak more highly of the staff. I was very impressed with their dedication to those they looked after and would like to pass on my sincere thanks to them
for making my dad's last few months as comfortable as possible - nothing seemed too much trouble.

We are extremely satisfied with the excellent care given to my husband in such a friendly homely atmosphere. All the staff are attentive and caring with a high regard for the residents' dignity and they have made all our family welcome. My husband came to Moorfield from another care home and the hand
over process has been both efficient and sensitive and the staff have been keen to work with us as a family to really get to know him. As a result he has settled extremely quickly and is feels safe, secure and happy.
