My husband has been confined to bed for the last month and has required much personal care ie turning every 2 hours to avoid pressure sores and I have been impressed with the efficiency and dignity with which this operation is carried out. My husband dislikes being handled and/or moved which can be quite difficult for the staff to deal with and they are always very careful with him.

After 14 years as a resident my mother. at the age of 90 suffered a further stroke which left her unable to drink water or eat food. I have sat with her for 9 days so far, at the end of her life. The care she has received from the staff here has been excellent, they show genuine affection and dedication to her. That is true for the nursing staff, care workers and domestic staff too, I am very impressed.

We are extremely satisfied with the excellent care given to my husband in such a friendly homely atmosphere. All the staff are attentive and caring with a high regard for the residents' dignity and they have made all our family welcome. My husband came to Moorfield from another care home and the hand over process has been both efficient and sensitive and the staff have been keen to work with us as a family to really get to know him. As a result he has settled extremely quickly and is feels safe, secure and happy.
Having hoped and waited in vain for improvement over many months, my relative is now settled in a home with excellent management and care. Although I have group rated 'care' and 'staff' as Poor, a few individuals would have scored higher and it was sad to leave them.

My dad has been at Moorfield for nearly 3 years and couldn't be happier. He has a great relationship with all of the staff including domestics and the chef and other kitchen staff. Every one of them always has a cheery word for my dad and me and the rest of our family. After a recent spell in hospital dad couldn't wait to get back 'home' in his words. Now he has settled back he is really happy again. I am really happy with dads care knowing that his needs are being met and that he is in a safe and caring environment.
