My mam was unable to be looked after at home. With the help of a social worker, Mam began respite at Stapleton House. The care staff and nursing staff recognised Mam was very unwell. My mam was diagnosed with staff four bowel cancer, and she needed palliative care. The home provided Mam with full-time,
permanent care, for which I am very grateful for. My mam spent the end of her life in Stapleton House. The staff were amazing. They gave Mam the best care they could. My mam was no longer mobile, so having a room with a garden view was very much appreciated. Management and staff made me feel very welcome. Mam loved to chat with staff and some of the mobile residents, who checked to see if she was ok. All the staff and Mam's GP made Mam comfortable to the very end of her life. I am truly grateful for everything.

Following extended hospital stays, my mother was transferred to Stapleton House for palliative, end-of-life nursing care. This was a home-from-home experience. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff - including the nurses, carers, domestics, manager, administrator and handyman. We were able to spend
as much time as we wanted with my mother. The staff encouraged us to decorate my mother's room with her own personal items, such as photographs. The staff were also very caring towards me and my mother's other visitors. Most of all, though, the care and compassion from the staff were tangible and also touched the close family members. My mother was cared for with dignity and respect in her final days. I will never forget this.

Mom was transferred to Stapleton House from the hospital in December 2020 initially for recovery and respite care, becoming a permanent resident in April 2021. In her final two years, she was content, comfortable and safe in a very caring and friendly home. We found the management and staff approachable,
friendly and accommodating, especially during the various Covid restriction, which was beyond their control. We had no issues and would recommend Stapleton House.

I would like to start with home from home, which is what Stapleton House is. My dad has been in since last September, something I never ever thought I would have to write, however; if anyone reading this has any concerns about putting their loved ones in a care home, this is definitely the place to
put their minds at rest. The staff are caring and treat my dad with the respect he deserves. The place is clean and inviting, and the nursing staff are exceptional, and in that, I also include the management. He has settled in also, something I thought would not happen. As he is a loving family man who thrives with his family around him, but the staff comes a close second. I would like to give the catering staff a shout out as the food is also home cooked and delicious. Last but not least
I can close my eyes at night knowing he is in excellent hands.

During his final weeks, my father was lucky to have been looked after by the compassionate and professional staff, whom became his extended family during a very difficult time (covid19). He was treated with dignity and respect by the very caring manager and staff, whom connected with him from first
entering to his passing. Our family was also treated with the same consideration, and we will always appreciate this. The management has stayed in touch, asking regarding my wellbeing and that of my family which is greatly appreciated.

My auntie has been in this home since the end of January 2019 and she settled in very well and very quickly.
I feel her needs are met and I am kept informed of any changes etc.
She's content and in relatively good health for her age. The home is well presented, safe and secure. The staff are friendly
and I've never had any concerns regarding her welfare, however, it is very costly and I feel £3000 a month excessive as she doesn't really receive an awful lot of nursing care, but has assistance with showering and dressing.

My mother was only resident at Stapleton House for a short period of time prior to her passing.
Whilst resident there, she was treated with care, kindness and respect. All of the staff were extremely caring and professional but particular mention should be made of the nursing staff who were exceptional.
They treated my mother with consideration and dignity in what would be her final weeks. Based on our experience, we would recommend Stapleton house as a care provider. Both the management and staff made our family welcome, were receptive and attentive to our needs during a distressing and difficult time.

This home has a really nice atmosphere around the place.
It really does feel like home from home.
The staff are very helpful and nothing seems too much for them.
The staff from all levels are fantastic and look after the residents well.

It was one of the saddest days of my life when the realisation hit that my amazing kind wonderful mam now needed 24-hour nursing care I had fought so hard to keep her at her home but that was my big mistake as she has thrived in Stapleton house
The staff from the Manager to the ladies who clean her
room are ALL so caring and Mam now has 24 hours of chatting and interacting with lots of stimulation she is so well and is always full of praise and say she is happy
As for me who cared for my Mams complex needs for so long, any issue I have had and they have been few and minor are dealt with immediately as you are always listened too.
The standard of nursing is exceptional and they are there 24 hours a day
I would recommend Stapleton house as a home from home.

How grateful my wife and I are that we chose this nursing care home for our old lady.
Her care, comfort and wellbeing is second to none.
The staff are long-term and totally focused on the care of their residents, a bonus by far.
There is plenty of activity and entertainment laid on for the stimulation
of the residents by the event organiser.
Any personal birthdays or events are accommodated by the home.
Our mam and that is what I call her (son in law), is very happy in this place.
All credit to all staff involved.

My husband has been in this nursing home for 11 months. I am really pleased with the nursing care he receives, I am 76 years and could not give him the care he receives at home. My husband cannot do anything for himself. He is completely immobile! The staff are really wonderful, I can go home knowing
he is being looked after 100%.

My father has been a resident at the home for nearly two years and I feel he receives excellent care. The staff are well trained and very professional but demonstrate a very caring, compassionate approach to looking after the residents. The care team place a great emphasis on making the home a 'home'
in the truest sense and they respect the rights of the residents to be treated as individuals. Privacy and dignity are regarded highly by the management team and this is reflected in the attitudes shown by staff and encouraged with families visiting the home. I have always liked the very transparent way in which the home operates and the way families are encouraged to feel comfortable discussing any concerns. The home has just the right level of 'busyness' with lots of activities and events for the residents. The recent Xmas party and Xmas day festivities were amazing and everyone had a lovely time. I am just so pleased that we chose this home as my father is very very happy and settled.

My brother-in-law has been a happy resident for over a year now, and I am a happy relative because his close family found a marvellous place that takes such great care of him.
Always a welcoming atmosphere. More than one comfortable very clean lounge for residents, (but not clinical). The rooms are
a home from home, with comfortable seats side tables and televisions in each. (There are no seats placed around the walls).
Tea and coffee facilities are available at all times so visitors can make their own refreshments. The staff interactions with the residents are patient, kind and cheerful, and residents that require help with eating are gently helped by talking and encouraging all the time.
My brother-in-law's room has a comfortable bed, table, with family pictures on the walls and personal items brought from home on the table and clothes storage etc.
He is always clean and dressed in fresh clean clothes. Such peace of mind for us all. Thanks everyone at Stapleton House.

My husband has been a resident at Stapleton House for 14 months. I have nothing but praise for this care home, everyone works really hard to make it a home from home. I sometimes choose to stay and have my lunch at the home with my husband, the staff set a lovely table for 2 and turn it into a special
occasion for us. It is the little thoughtful things like that which are very touching and mean a great deal to me.
My husband is at all times treated with the utmost respect and dignity in every aspect of his care and that is very important to us as a family, at the same time they maintain a great sense of humour and they never fail to make my husband smile. The last 14 months have not been easy for me as we had never been apart in 62 years, but knowing my husband is in good hands and being well looked after has made a very difficult time a lot easier to accept. I would not hesitate in recommending Stapleton House to anyone looking for an outstanding care home for their loved one.

My relative was in the home for almost a year and they received the best care possible. It is a lovely home with a quiet garden. The staff are amazing and made sure my relative was comfortable. I would highly recommend this home.

I have been a qualified general nurse since 1990 with over two decades of dedicated service in the NHS and private sector in addition to having managed and had my own busy retail business, working with the general public in many capacities. My career has been driven by a steadfast commitment to providing the highest standards of care, fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff, and continually improving the quality of life for those in my care.


Throughout my 20+ years in health care, I have worked in different areas, each with unique challenges and opportunities. My leadership style is rooted in empathy, transparency, and a hands-on approach, ensuring that every resident receives personalised care tailored to their specific needs. I believe in creating a home-like atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and part of a community and feel that this leadership style, together with the values of Landona care, can only be an asset.


My attention to detail and commitment to best practices have ensured that the homes in which I have been a part are recognised for their quality care and compliance. As a nurse myself, I wish to enrich the staffing team to promote excellent standards for our residents and am excited to bring my extensive experience, compassionate leadership, and innovative approach to Stapleton House
