I instantly felt a welcome when I went to enquire about accommodation for my mother-in-law. The surroundings were bright and very clean, the staff genuinely seemed happy in their work and very pleased to answer any questions we had. The room which we later accepted for mam was cleared and ready to be
decorated, it was however already in very good condition. When we arrived with mam I was taken aback by the effort to make the room welcoming, it was fantastic.

I could not find any faults or problems at all with this home as the food is to a high standard. The staff are excellent and the home cleanliness is of a high standard. I would definitely recommend this home as I could not fault it.

My husband was in another care home previously and I had no faith or confidence in the management and systems and was extremely stressed and consumed by the daily monitoring that I felt I had to do to ensure that my husband's needs were being met.
Since moving him in February this year both he and
I are different people. I am less stressed and don't feel the necessity to check records daily. I have every confidence in the staff, nurses and management
My husband is calmer, less agitated and putting on weight and is much happier.
I only wish I had moved him earlier as all the staff are very caring and go the extra mile to ensure that the residents needs are met. Cannot praise them enough and long may it continue

My husband suffers from Huntingtons disease. I am absolutely blown away by the warmth and generosity of the love and personal interaction that my husband is given on a basis of not only daily but each time a carer is passing his room, which is always. Elizabeth Flemming is a family oriented run home
with carers from around the village and surrounding places. Everyone gives residents and their visitors equally that warmth and comfort needed to feel secure and safe here. My husband takes it upon himself to interact with his personal nurse and classes him as a friend. I can't explain what this means as a wife and carer of my terminal ill husband. All his needs are met totally emotionally and psychologically as well as his physical need. Meal times are catered for each individual and there is a varied choice daily. I see his home as a 5 star hotel and my days I spend with my husband are so comfortable and I look forward each day.

My mother's care is absolutely fantastic. I have worked in the care industry before so I can compare. All members of staff treat my mother with care and respect, the food and cleanliness of the home is outstanding. Both the manager and all staff are so helpful, I have great confidence in the way my
mother is looked after. May I also take this opportunity to say how hard the staff also work on activities.

The home has a good homely feel. The staff are caring, patient and treat each person as an individual, catering to all their needs, making them feel that it is their home. The meals are good with plenty of snacks in-between. The general feel is that of a big family. The staff are always happy and work
together to create a happy family feel.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.629)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.629) out of 10 for Elizabeth Fleming Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.196 for Elizabeth Fleming Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (42 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) + (20 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 92 Ratings = 4.196
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.433 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Elizabeth Fleming Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.833
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
