The staff are extremely helpful and supportive both of residents and their families. During this damaging lockdown period, the home have made huge efforts to keep the spirits of residents high by organising entertainment and using video calling to support the everyday services that we expect.

After taking the difficult but necessary decision to place our mum into care, the help and reassurance we received from all staff, from management to carers was outstanding. They keep us updated, provide excellent activities for residents and their approach to the job they do is amazing. I couldn't
recommend them high enough and can't thank them enough for the help they gave to my brother and I.

My mother has been in Lansbury Court care home for a few years. On all my visits I have always found the home very clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly and have a very good relationship with all the people in their care. As my brother and I live 300 plus miles away, all these things are very
important. The home always keeps us updated about any problems that might arise.

The staff are very friendly both to residents and visitors, they are also helpful when requested. Facilities are basic but generally adequate. In summer, perhaps, more use could be made of the garden area.

During the time my mam was at Lansbury Court, she flourished healthwise and emotionally. She was surrounded by exceptionally good cares and fellow residents. Everyone was amazing right to the end. Thank you all.

Over the past, nearly 7 years of visiting my mother, the staff (that covers all staff from cleaners to care staff) have become more like family.
I know my mother is in good caring hands and she is well looked after and above all she is safe.

I myself found the care facility good. My brother seemed as though he fitted in quite well and for all he had, a condition, he seemed generally to like his environment. The staff were always kind and helpful towards him and he looked as though he trusted them. Near the end, I was informed quickly of
any change in his condition and when he had been treated and settled down which is very much appreciated.

I find that the staff are very friendly and professional, however I feel that they are overworked and more staff should be available.
There are plenty of in house events on for the residents but maybe need a little more outdoor events.
Overall a comfortable and happy place for my mum to spend her
care support.

The carers are very helpful and always there to support you especially the carer and senior carer. The home is clean and tidy. The health and wellbeing is a priority from the staff to the residents. There is always something going on to entertain the residents. I have never had anything to do with the
management, not even a hello. I think the staff are overworked and underpaid for the work they do.

I find the staff here very friendly and down to earth, my mam's care here is wonderful, I feel she is treated as an individual with great care and respect. In both our respects, I feel we are considered in all aspects of mam's care. On a more personal note, as an only child, this truly feels like a
new extended family who I can't thank enough for her continued care.

My father was very independent but also vulnerable before moving here. He is now the happiest I have seen him in a while. He enjoys the banter he has with the staff and loves when they take him out. He loves nothing better than keeping everyone entertained. I know he is safe and very well looked after.
I would highly recommend here.

I have been in Lansbury Court since 1st June 2018.
I have been cared for as bedbound for all of that time as I am morbidly obese.
A new rise and recline chair is being purchased for me by the home (mine was made defunct while in hospital)
The staff look after me in a very caring manner with laughter
and joy.

In general, I would rate this particular care facility to be good to excellent having spent nine months as a resident.
The staff are warm, helpful and friendly.
The demeanour of the home would appear to be efficient and yet relaxed.
On an observational note, more understanding of social care needs
to be addressed by the powers that be, including input from, if they so wish, residents.

The staff support provided to my Mother is very good and they all appear to have her best interests at heart. Bedrooms are small and not ideal for family visits. The home has also been decorated to a high standard with new furniture/carpets etc. The activity coordinators work hard and are very dedicated,
however, due to a lack of resources they are limited as to what they can do. On a negative note, the garden is sparse and not easily accessible and untidy looking with no chairs as yet for residents to sit outside during spells of good weather.

The care workers are very helpful from what I see in my visits.


But I believe that a few more activities would be welcomed by the residents.

Hello, my name is Marlena Derda, and I am the Home Manager at Lansbury Court Care Home. I began my career working as a care assistant in 2011 before progressing to a senior care assistant. In 2019, I joined the Orchard family working as a Deputy Manager and completed my NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management during this time before progressing to Home Manager in 2021.
