Warrior Park is a dedicated team of carers, nurses etc who provide an outstanding amount of not care but love for my nana and are a team I trust and know. From the start my nana has been settled and has always been happy in herself (and her face always lights up with the staff). The team explain all
things to the family and feel they have become my nanas second family.....10/10!!

The staff are very caring and the residents are always treated with respect. The home is always clean and well kept. I am happy with the level of care that is given and think the care staff do a good job. I think there is room for improvement on the activities side, I would like to see a wider range
of activities.

Reply from Gail Starling, Home Manager at Warrior Park Care Home

Hi Vicky, thank you for taking the time to review Warrior Park - we appreciate all comments and feedback. I'm delighted to read such kind words about our team and the care provided to your relative. In terms of activities, since your review we have created a planned activity schedule that will be implemented by our Personal Activities Leader. We will also be launching a brand new hair salon in the next few weeks. If you want to talk more about any activities you'd like to see introduced in the home then please don't hesitate to get in contact with me. Thank you again, Gail.

My dad is a 92 year very frail gentleman. His previous home was under closure by the CQC and we were told on the 21st December he was to move by 15th January. As you can imagine this was distressing not only for my dad but also us as a family. The manager went out of her way, by giving up her day
off on a Saturday to ensure dads admission went smoothly. I cannot fault any member of staff we have come into contact with, all of whom have shown to be caring, compassionate and competent. Within three days of dad being there the staff had developed good relationships with dad and ourselves, the family. He has been shown lots of warmth and kindness, something that was greatly lacking in his previous care home. I cannot fault our experience in this home to date and I am sure the dedicated team will continue to excel. I am in the profession personally holding the role of Home Manager in a local competitor home and therefore am aware of what good quality care is. Dad had nothing but excellent quality care. I would highly recommend this home.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.089)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.089) out of 10 for Warrior Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.716 for Warrior Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (61 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 81 Ratings = 4.716

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.373 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Warrior Park Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 registered maximum number of service users is 10.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.673

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Regulatory Rating

Care Quality Commission (CQC) Rating
