My Grandma was transferred to Astune on palliative care and shortly went into end of life care. She was treated with respect and dignity whilst in Astune. Staff were very respective and supportive of all the family. Room was clean, however, decoration could have been a lot better as this was very dated.

We have visited Astune several times over the last 3+ years to see a relative. The staff are very caring and understanding of everyone's needs, including the residents and family. The lunches are also of a very high standard. Our aunt enjoyed the food until her last day!

Overall Experience
Having viewed similar homes that were purpose built, I was impressed with the homely feeling that Astune Rise has to offer.
Care staff are welcoming and staffing levels are very good compared to larger corporate type establishments.
The home is undergoing redecoration and garden areas are being developed and provide tranquil areas for visiting.
Food menus are excellent, providing choices and are varied compared to other homes.

Small but friendly, the care is excellent in this lovely little home.

Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident for 15 months and there is no better care home in my eyes. I have worked in a local care home and it is nothing compared to Astune Rise. From the Manager to the shop floor, everyone will bed over backwards to help or offer extra support. My family know that our mother is appreciated and is not just a resident but akin to a family. What a brilliant home this is. There are no words to say truly what a fantastic care home Astune Rise is. Well done.

Very homely feel with thoughtful, caring and friendly staff. Small dated bedrooms but clean and smelling fresh. Good, home cooked food with a wide choice. Individual attention to occupants and seem to be treated with genuine friendliness and dignity. Most staff have a smile on their faces even when stressed! Good, thoughtful nursing care.

Review from Eileen F (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 11 June 2018 Submitted via Postal Card

I flew over from Canada to visit my sister-in-law who had just been placed at Astune Rise.
Walking into the facility with my son and a friend, immediately one felt like it was walking into a home, not a facility.
We were greeted by the staff, asked if they could bring us tea or coffee. So friendly and professional.
Home cooked meals - what more could one ask for.
My sister-in-law called them her angels.

I came home 6 days later, my mind at rest.
