Beautiful home, the staff are very good. Should be very proud of this home.
Thank you for your wonderful review, we are very proud of Aycliffe and the team.
The care provided at Aycliffe Care Home is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and treat the residents with great care and respect. My mother has been here for the past few weeks and is very happy with all of the staff who are patient and kind. There are a lot of activities for mental health stimulation. The food is excellent also.
Thank you for your fantastic review, your kind and positive feedback will be passed to the team.
The care home provides excellent care and facilities for my grandmother and other residents and provides brilliant social events and activities. The staff are superb and brilliant and engage with visitors and residents. I am extremely lucky and grateful for my nan's care.
Thank you for your wonderful five star review, your lovely feedback will be passed on to all of the Aycliffe team.
Great facility, staff are so lovely and kind and really make my grandad feel safe at home.
I have found the home very good both in care of residents and visitors. The atmosphere is homely and welcoming, a real home-from-home. My mother-in-law was treated as a real person and despite having dementia was put at ease at all times. I would recommend Aycliffe Care Home to all.
Thank you for your lovely review - your amazing feedback will be passed on to the Aycliffe team.
My mum came here from another care home needing very much care. She came in February 2022, and I am so happy with the care and attention all the staff give to Mum, from carers, nurses, management and the boss! It helps my well-being knowing Mum's well-being is being taken care of 100%.
Thank you for your lovely review and feedback - I will pass this on to our team.
Although my wife doesn't want to be here I myself think she is well looked after and cared for and I'm happy she is safe here.
Thank you for your review and trust in us here at Aycliffe. Moving into a care home, for both the resident and family members, can be difficult and we hope to make it feel like home for everyone in time. Your kind words will be passed to our team.
My mam was at Aycliffe Care Home and during this time she received the best care possible from all the staff. She was treated with utmost dignity and care and it was a happy place for her until the end (Dementia) took her. We were (family) all treated with respect and dignity, right to the very end.
Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review, our hearts and thoughts are with you and your family.
I find the staff really friendly and always willing to help when asked. Nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your lovely review - your fantastic feedback will be passed to the team at Aycliffe.
Although not the "Poshest" care home, the staff and care are outstanding. Nothing is too much for the staff and the residents are cared for with dignity and their personal needs are at the top of the carers' list. My dad has been there for 6 weeks now and he absolutely loves it, he's hoping to become a permanent resident as he has made friends and is surrounded by people meaning he is no longer isolated and is getting plenty of mental stimulation through the wide range of activities put on by the home. The catering is excellent, in the words of my dad, "Top Class!". He basically wants for nothing. Thanks to all the staff for making this such a special place.
What an amazing review! Thank you so much. I will pass this fantastic feedback to our Aycliffe team.
The whole team are amazing with my dad. He is terminally ill and I really believe their care is giving him quality of life and extending the span. He is so much more relaxed now, his pain is under control and he can laugh again. The staff spoil him and he loves it.
What lovely words and feedback that I will pass to our team - I am so happy to hear this!
An excellent, high-quality, care home. The Aycliffe Care Home provides a dedicated service to residents. It is extremely well managed, employing staff who are friendly and caring. The building is clean and inviting and well maintained. Mother-in-Law, a resident for several weeks, speaks highly of the care she receives, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere in the home. The home pays attention to detail and expects visitors to comply with Covid 19 procedures.
The Aycliffe Care Home is probably one of the best Care Homes. We have visited my mother on several occasions during the past few weeks. The home has always been well organised, clean, with the staff pleasant, helpful, and caring. Visitors are expected to comply with Covid 19 prevention procedures and to notify the home before attending.
Couldn't be happier with the care received and the support of the staff. The only negative is being unable to contact via telephone on some days.
Thank you for your fantastic review and lovely comments, I will certainly pass on feedback regarding the phones and look to improve this for you.
Caring and friendly staff and management. The only issue is that contact with the home via telephone at certain times is difficult.
My mother received rehabilitation and end-of-life care over August/September/October 2021. The overriding experience for Mam and the family was one of kindness from all staff. Her dignity was of great importance to all staff and supporting family throughout when we stayed with Mum in her room for over 7 days and nights until she died. All her care needs were met and responses were timely for her pain relief. We as a family will always be grateful to the staff and manager.
Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss. We are glad to have been able to help you and your family through this sad time. Thank you for your kind words and also lovely review, I will certainly pass your praise on to the staff at Aycliffe.
Very helpful and friendly. They look after people with respect and dignity.
Thank you for your lovely review.
Many thanks.
During the past nine months, times have been very difficult in care homes. I last saw my wife who has been a resident for five and a half years twice within this time she is bedfast and needs nursing care. With this in mind, I would like to thank all of the staff who have kept me informed of my wife’s condition during this time. I have been kept up to date with phone calls and video chats on a weekly basis. I can only thank all of the staff for all their hard work and devotion during this awful time. We are very pleased that we chose Aycliffe care and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
Our Mam had to go into Aycliffe Care Home permanently in January of this year. She settled in straight away and whenever we visit, is always happy and smiling. The home is always spotlessly clean and welcoming. Nothing is a trouble, and there's always somebody to talk to if there's a problem. Since lockdown, although we haven't been able to visit, staff have made sure we have been kept up to day with Mam's situation. Now that we are able to book outside visits, once again, they are working so hard to keep all the resident covid free. We feel very lucky knowing that our Mam is safe and so well cared for by all the staff. Our heartfelt thanks to each and every one.
My dad spent 31 months at Aycliffe, living with Alzheimer's. We were immediately attracted to the Home as a light and airy building with neat rooms, imaginative corridors, accessible management and friendly staff. First impressions were accurate. Dad was looked after so well. Everyone played their part - the cleaners who ensured his room was spick and span and chatted to him - the care assistants who had time to reassure him with a word or a hug - the nursing staff who kept us informed of developments in his health, attended him in hospital and looked after him as we would have wanted him to be looked after if we could have done it our selves. He loved his haircuts and his chiropody and being outside helping the caretaker (with an assisting pint to keep him going!). If I ever need the services of a care home I hope they will be half as good as the people I met at Aycliffe.
