Barrington Lodge Care Home

Having stayed here on some respite care, the staff are exceptional and very polite. Nothing is a bother, and they go out of their way to accommodate. The room is spacious, very comfortable and warm. The food is great and all home-cooked.

My stay here was, I called it, a holiday. As my son went on holiday to America for 3 weeks. So well looked after for three weeks break, well fed and carers and staff included laundry, cleaning and everyone else all kept very cheerful and friendly. Thank you.

Very good staff kind and pleasant even though the hard days of being short-staffed can’t fault anything thank you all. Beautiful home and garden, the food smells lovely the staff are too underrated and sadly underpaid.

The home is very nice and it is nice and bright, the staff are very nice and they treat you like a human.

My father went into Barrington Lodge Care Home last year as he was wandering, neglecting himself and not washing. Now he is like a different man; he's always spotlessly clean; he said it's a fabulous hotel, the food is amazing, and he loves it. The staff are all amazing; he really gets on with two members of staff. I couldn't ask for a better team to look after him; the relief I feel knowing he is safe, and most of all, happy is priceless.

My friend has been staying here for the last 7 months and during the coronavirus pandemic the staff have been very accommodating in assisting with FaceTime calls with him. He has settled very well and says they treat him like a king and is continually praising the staff for their hard work.

Hopefully not much longer to wait.

The staff at Barrington Lodge have been very helpful during the lockdown. I was able to see my mother through her bedroom window initially. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support during difficult times.

My Dad has been in Barrington Lodge for over a year. He settled in very well. The staff are very friendly and caring and always on hand if I need to talk to them. Dad's health is always monitored as he suffers from COPD and Alzheimers. They are aware of changes and if he needs medical attention it is dealt with promptly. He enjoys his meals too. On the negative side, I found the rooms could be kept cleaner, with more hoovering and wiping of surfaces. The toilet sometimes needs a good clean and in general, the furnishings look a bit tired. In general, I would say I feel happy with my Dad being in there. He is safe and looked after by lovely people.

I would never ever recommend this home to anyone ever there is no care taken at all, staff never keep a record of anything.

I feel that my father has been cared for as a person, rather than just 'a client'. The staff are friendly and caring.
