Barrington Lodge Care Home

My mother enjoyed her stay, there were no problems with her medication as she takes a lot of tablets. She felt safe and happy in her stay and the staff were terrific.

My father has been living in Barrington Lodge for almost 3 years and the staff treat him very well. He likes them and they seem to like him. The staff are very friendly all the time. I know he is safe.

Lovely place for my mam to stay where I know I can leave her to be well looked after. Nice, friendly home, excellent management. I know I'd have no worries leaving my mam in their hands.

My brother is a resident at Barrington Lodge Care Home following a stroke. At first, I think he struggled to settle however now is happy and has made friends, especially with other residents and staff. He is overall happy and well looked after.

Fantastic, everyone has made Barrington a home from home for my mum. They have all shown so much love and compassion, and we can't thank you enough. On her recent trip to the hospital, she kept telling everyone she wanted to go back "home" to see her friends. That is the highest compliment she could give!

I have found the time my mother has been here very good. I can not fault the staff and what they do for my mother. The food is excellent and you have a good range of choices. The bedrooms are kept clean and bathroom. So on the whole, I am very happy with the care my mam has received.

Staff seem helpful. Sometimes the residents says the food is a bit bland but otherwise, things seem ok. Some staff, in particular, seem very good.

The staff are very caring and supportive to both my husband and myself. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. My husband has improved tremendously under their excellent care and encouragement. I can't thank them enough for their support to both of us.

Lovely team of carers, thank you all for helping my Mam. The room was very nice. Visiting was great and the team was very accommodating. Mam is very pleased to be home but misses the team. Would recommend Barrington Lodge.

Mother was an emergency intermediate care case but was placed on a nursing department and was therefore less urgent. The unit was very noisy due to the call system and frequent emergencies. Food was terrible (worse than school dinners) so we moved Mother out before malnutrition set in. We had to ask for the commode to be cleaned 3 times (on separate occasions).

My father seemed happy, relaxed and engaged in the activities with the coordinators. Staff were so welcoming and happy to show photos taken of activities. He appeared well presented, with hair well groomed and quite cohesive today. Thank you.

Excellent place, great staff. Good food. Feels like a holiday camp, I don't want to leave, but I have to go and see my cat. Thank you all.

This care home is brill, so clean, like a 5-star hotel, couldn't ask for anything nicer. Good food etc, perfect. Visitors are made really welcome.

All staff were kind, helpful and supportive of my mum. She was treated with respect at all times.

The kindness and attention given to my husband when he was resting in the Lodge for 3 weeks were excellent and very caring. Also when he passed away on 15/01/23 the courtesy and patience shown were second to none, not only to my husband but me and my nephew. The home was very clean and welcoming when we entered at all times, the biggest praise I should give was to all the staff, and incredible people, thank you. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

I visited a 97-year-old friend today. We had a warm welcome from the staff. My friend said he felt safe and comfortable and that the meals were good!
