St Helens Care Home

My son came here and was looked after to a very high standard by all the lovely staff. The only reason he has moved is because of his age (43) it was not suitable. I would recommend this home to anyone.

St Helens Care Home is a lovely home. I am always welcomed by staff when visiting my grandfather. My grandfather is always clean and tidy. There are also a lot of activities going on for my grandfather and staff are always trying to do different things to keep everyone entertained. The staff are also very helpful.

I found this care home on my first visit to be so perfect for my father, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The smell of delicious food was one of the fits things I noticed about it. All the nurses are there on hand for any questions and needs. They take great pride in what they do and can tell how caring they are.

I placed my dad in St Helens Care Home five years ago due to his determination in health. Since my dad has been in this care home, my dad is happy. He has been involved in activities when in good health. All staff are very kind, caring and understanding, and also extremely supportive.

They are very happy for us to take him out for a walk and family events.

The staff are very respectful to residents, professional but with humour and compassion. My relative is always clean and tidy; the home itself is homely and welcoming. The home has lots of ways to contact my relative, even a facility to video chat, which is lovely, especially during Covid.

I have always found the staff helpful and kind. They seem to care. I cannot comment on the home facilities etc, as I have never been inside.

I was satisfied when I was allowed to visits (window visits). I was able to have a good conversation with my relative. I would say I was happy with my visit in St Helens.

My dad has been in the care home for some time now. The staff are outstanding and know his behaviour and vulnerabilities more than his own family due to his health needs. During covid-19, the staff have been amazing using social media to keep relative and friends updated of the home. My dad is in the best place regarding his vulnerabilities due to an infection 10-years ago. Thank you to all staff.

In view of the current restrictions, I have never been able to enter the premises, but from external visits and telephone conversation, I note my somewhat limited options.

Although always excellent, the staff have really stepped up during the covid crisis to keep the home clear, and the residents safe.

The care staff and all staff are very caring and they are very friendly. They care for my close friend very well. I have the responsibility to keep him well and safe and I believe he is in good hands at the care home.

My mother is well looked after by the staff.

My overall experience when visiting my father is good, he's happy and content in his surroundings. The majority of the staff are caring and hard working. The cleanliness of the home is excellent and so is the food that is catered for to each resident's dietary needs.

My father has just recently moved into this care home. I am very pleased with the way he has settled. The care staff/nurses are always supporting all of the residents my father included. There is constant interaction they are very effective in their duties. Very, very happy overall. Management team exceptional, well-led home.

This is the best home for my brother as being in the staff are very good and look after him very good and keep him clean and keep him safe.
