Dad has taken a while to settle in but his health has not helped with this matter.
The staff have a good bond with Dad and he also with them. Hospital stays have not helped this. I wish he could try and bond with other residents. Staff are really great with Dad.

Absolutely fabulous, all work very hard. Very good care. Very impressed that Mam got taken out to Beamish. I used to work at Beamish and as a family we love Beamish. Amazing food, lovely afternoon tea for Mam's birthday. Good support from all the staff.
No issues about the home or staff. Mam is happy
in the home and therefore I am happy. I have no worries about Mam being at Stoneleigh. Impressed that Mam saw bingo going on and she wanted to play. Happy she likes to get involved.

Very good food, really nice meals. No complaints whatsoever about anything. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming. Staff make all visitors very welcome. Staff will do anything for you and are willing to help. Everybody is very helpful.

Very good experience. Very caring, good organisation. Nothing is a bother. Excellent, Mum is settling well. Good variety of food. No issues with room, excellent laundry and cleanliness of the home.

Overall care in home is great, just what my mum needs. However, she loves activities and would like it if there was at least one per day (Monday to Friday). She really enjoys singers, but prefers more modern music. Staff and food are amazing! Thank you.

I always find that my grandad's needs are met. On arrival, carers are very friendly and tend to update me with my grandad's daily status before I ask, which I find extremely important and helpful. Always say I walk in and class this more of a "home" than a "care home".

After initial concerns about Auntie coming into a care home, I feel very satisfied and happy my auntie is happy and well looked after. Staff are great, very helpful they always look after me when I visit from Warwichshire. No concerns about safety, I am happy because my auntie is happy.

Very happy with the quality of care, always kept informed, and no issues around care. Staff very supportive, kind and caring. They all do a fantastic job. Wish the carers could be paid more money. Appreciate all the help my mum-in-law receives.
Only negative to mention is the front door of the building
could be more sturdy, lots of glass and not too secure.
Everyone takes care of and supports and safety of residents as a high priority. Thank you, everyone, at Stoneleigh.

From the initial contact with the home, I think one particular lady was so amiable and welcoming. She gave us sound practical advice as regards to the respite care, and we actually had a visit beforehand. The staff and carers were all so lovely and professional. A member of staff even carried the bags
to the car.

Staff are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. They look after Mam very well and accordingly. Wouldn't want Mam to be anywhere else; everyone is meeting Mam's needs above and beyond.

Very friendly team with genuine care and compassion towards residents. It's what it should be, the residents' home not an institution. The place is immaculate and up-to-date with its decor and furnishings. Nothing is a problem for the staff. If any of the residents do not particularly fancy what is
on the menu the catering team will do their best to accommodate their preferences. I can genuinely say I feel that my mam is being cared for with dignity and respect and I feel happy when I leave after visiting as she is happy.

My father was admitted to Stoneleigh Care Home last December, which was a stressful time for the family. The staff were fantastic in helping Dad to settle in and reassuring the family. Excellent care was provided for Mum during a short term period of respite. All staff were so kind and thoughtful, looking after Mum and taking care of her needs with sensitivity and warmth. The manager was always available, quick to help and very reassuring, which I really appreciated.

On my arrival at Stoneleigh, I must admit I didn't know what to expect and it took me a little while to grow accustomed to my new surroundings. My mother has been in the care home since before the start of Covid. Also, my father was there for the last few months of his life. I can only say this love and support shown is wonderful. The food is good, mostly fair. The rooms are not big, and this home could benefit highly from an extension or conservatory.

"Kindness to me is promoting safety, happiness and dignity."


Susan is a Healthcare Professional with a number of years’ experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Susan closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Stoneleigh.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Susan remarked:


“I love working with and getting to know our Residents and hearing their stories.”


Outside of work, Susan enjoys walking holidays in the Lake District and Yorkshire with her partner and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
