I find the Stoneleigh Care Home to be very friendly and welcoming and their residents, on the whole, are treated very well by the carers, cleaning staff, the laundry ladies, the events lady and the management.
I especially would like to say how lovely and caring one particular carer is to everyone.
She always has a smile for everyone and nothing is too much trouble for her and the two young ladies that work in the kitchen.

Mum didn't want to go to respite care at Stoneleigh but loved it so much she wants to become a permanent resident.

My mother-in-law really didn't want to go into respite care for a long weekend and tried a number of ploys to get out of it even going so far, the night before, telling us she was far too ill to go, we'd have to cancel it. As we had commitments we had to sort out this wasn't going to happen and we knew
it was nerves. We left her feeling very down about the whole thing. We went to pick her up 4 days later and she didn't want to come home, she loved it!

Mum transferred to Stoneleigh from a home here in Staffordshire. All her medical/well-being issues were addressed within the first two weeks with the most impressive efficiency and outcomes. The staff are all wonderfully warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble.

My husband has been in Stoneleigh 5 times and we have never had a problem with anything. Staff are very helpful and caring.

Warm welcome by staff wearing Christmas jumpers. Like the arrangement of a sitting area off the large entrance hall. Comfortable furniture and warmth. View of people walking past means less isolated gardens well looked after.

Never thought My sister would settle into the home the way she has. She seems quite content and loves the staff. All the staff are really pleasant and cannot do enough to help you. The food always sounds great when she is asked what she wants to eat. Excellent choice.

Since my parents got back together in the same care home I could not have wished for a better place for them than Stoneleigh.
The facilities and care are first class.
The food and staff are excellent.
They are in a safe and caring environment which makes the families concerns minimal and stress free.

"Kindness to me is promoting safety, happiness and dignity."


Susan is a Healthcare Professional with a number of years’ experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Susan closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Stoneleigh.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Susan remarked:


“I love working with and getting to know our Residents and hearing their stories.”


Outside of work, Susan enjoys walking holidays in the Lake District and Yorkshire with her partner and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
