My Mam has been in the home for about 6 months at a guess, not sure on the date. My Mam is really poorly. She is in the right plac.e I could not fault the home, carers, staff and everyone involved in working in Stoneleigh care home. Thank you very much for looking after my Mam. It means the world and

Since my parents got back together in the same care home I could not have wished for a better place for them than Stoneleigh.
The facilities and care are first class.
The food and staff are excellent.
They are in a safe and caring environment which makes the families concerns minimal and stress free.

I found standards had dropped in most areas but in the last six to eight weeks since a change in management, have found the home is getting back to the way it was a couple of years ago.
Residents are more pleasant and it feels more like their home again. Has improved vastly all round. The manager is
looking for ways and means to help improve every day running of the home.

Since new management took over, what a difference. She is very hands on with residents and visitors. It is a relief to visit and see how much happier residence are. Cleaning staff very friendly and polite as all other staff.

My mother is a long-term resident at Stoneleigh and I am very happy with the standard of care. All staff are very caring and treat clients as individuals. My mother is happy here and very well cared for. It is good I can visit at any time and also when I am away on holiday. I know she is in good hands

The care home was clean and the staff were friendly.
My aunt seems to be well cared for.
Facilities are a bit dated, e.g. toilet could do with a revamp. I would give the home a good review from the few visits I have made.
I live in France so can only visit when I am visiting my parents.

Since coming to Stoneleigh my mother has blossomed. She is enjoying the company and activities and loves the caring staff. She eats so much better than when she was at home and of course my sister and I no longer have worries about her falling or being ill. My only regret is that she didn't come here

It was nice to see Grandma in such a caring, engaging environment, especially when I've been so worried about her. She's been doing activities, making friends and engaging with everyone around. The carers are sweet, practical and hard working. I didn't expect my visit to be like this. Thank you.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


"Kindness to me is promoting safety, happiness and dignity."


Susan is a Healthcare Professional with a number of years’ experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Susan closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Stoneleigh.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Susan remarked:


“I love working with and getting to know our Residents and hearing their stories.”


Outside of work, Susan enjoys walking holidays in the Lake District and Yorkshire with her partner and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
