Whenever I've visited, the staff have always been welcoming. I attend once a month at administer Holy Communion to any residents which to participate and try to attend coffee mornings and events when I can. The home is always clean and well kept and the residents seem happy to be here.

The home is what I would describe as 'very homely'. The staff are kind and considerate.
In my opinion, the rooms only rate 'satisfactory' as there are no en-suite facilities.

I was employed at the home before I retired 10 years ago and have kept in contact with the home. I support coffee mornings and other fundraising events I find it a very friendly and happy place.
The staff work very hard to keep residents happy and cared for. I too keep the standards expected in this

I have found the home a very caring place. The staff go out of their way to help when it is needed. The home is kept clean, to a very high standard. Facilities are very good e.g. cold drinks are always available. Activities are well chosen. I am very happy here.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


"Kindness to me is promoting safety, happiness and dignity."


Susan is a Healthcare Professional with a number of years’ experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Susan closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Stoneleigh.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Susan remarked:


“I love working with and getting to know our Residents and hearing their stories.”


Outside of work, Susan enjoys walking holidays in the Lake District and Yorkshire with her partner and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
