My mother will be 103 of age in 7 days time. In December - January she was really poorly with bacterial tonsillitis. As you can imagine at that age of 102 we were worried. The staff quickly got a doctor and got her on straight on antibiotics. I came in daily for a few days at lunchtime to feed her as her appetite was non-existent and because of the flu virus, the staff were having to come in when they were still not well. The staff were good and supported us at this time.

Mam has been a resident at Willowdene the past 18 months. The environment is exceptionally clean, warm and has a happy environment with an excellent program of activities to motivate and stimulate the residents.

The staff are always respectful, courteous and happy. They treat mam with respect, care and maintain her dignity. Mam is always clean and tidy her clothes are kept spotlessly clean. The food is freshly cooked and mam is well fed. I rate the home highly and have recommended to family and friends.

Staff handle residents very well and with care and are always attending to their specific needs. Staff know individual residents needs/behaviour and address accordingly.

Residents are kept clean and dietary needs catered for.

My mother (95-year-old) is well looked after, even when she can be difficult to deal with. Since taking up residency, she has settled in very well, a reflection of the care she receives.

My father had palliative/nursing care for the last two years of his life at Willowdene Care Home. He was well treated and the facility was airy and had a lot of light. Staff were caring and attentive.

First impressions were home was clean and smelt fresh. The room was nice and light. I can't really comment on the food as dad stopped eating however, staff tried hard to accommodate his dietary needs. Dad was kept clean and comfortable the short time he was there, regular checks. Most important all the staff were excellent and always seemed to go that extra mile. The continuity of care as superb. Again the staff really seemed to have compassion and caring.

My gran has now lived at Willowdene Care Home for 2 1/2yrs and I could not fault it. My gran has put on weight with the delicious food served three times a day. The staff are lovely and always have time to stop and say hello. They do puzzles with my gran and the other residents and often organise special events i.e singers, summer fairs and raffles. The home itself is clean, warm and welcoming and all I can say is since becoming a resident at Willowdene Care Home she has certainly thrived.

Surroundings in main rooms cheerful, clean and tidy.
Residents always clean and tidy.
Good program of activities, although some of the nursery jigsaws - games might be a bit off-putting.
Lots of visitors - singers/entertainers.

Overall a nice atmosphere.
