Overall the experience has been very good. My husband suffers from Alzheimers and is transported via a hoist and wheelchair. He is treated with dignity. I have never heard staff members raise their voices when he is challenging. I am confident that he is safe and well looked after. Regarding activities, my husband never took part but other strategies were put in place to occupy him.

After my husband was sectioned and then released from hospital to Yohden Lodge, he started to come back to us, and seem not to be as violent because of the changes in his medication, (tramadol was taken off the list). My husband has periods of 'vagueness' where he is very sleepy and cannot speak. This is part of his condition - lewy bodies dementia.

In between, he seems to enjoy being in his own room. I think the noise in the lounges agitates, so I feel happier when he is in his room. I feel that my husband is in the best place for his needs, I think it his choice not to take part in activities, but I wish he would at least be able to do dominoes or something like that, which I think he is capable of.

I have found that the experience I have found is great. I could not ask for a better home for my wife to be in. I have got nothing but accommodation for the staff. My wife cannot get out of bed, but she is looked after so good. Nothing much else to say except that it is a great home.

Staff, personally have found all staff very courteous. Very well trained. Will listen to you if you have any queries and if they do not know the answer will find out for you. Any action required is taken care of immediately or as soon as possible as stated in my previous questionnaire. Promotion within the staff is not only an incentive for carers but also the working of the care home an added bonus. Food - excellent menus each day with a good selection of food, thanks to the chef and her assistant. Must not forget the laundry staff and cleaners. They do a fantastic service keeping the home clean and also the client's clothes freshly laundered.

Yohden Hall is a bright well cared for care home that provides excellent care by interested and empathetic staff. Dignity for residents is at the heart of their care provision which is overseen by a very "hands-on" manager.

Could not of found a nicer place for our mother-in-law to spend her final weeks. The carers and nurses went out of their way and cared for mam and ourselves! Nothing was too much trouble, so grateful!

I have been visiting this home for at least eight years. Four years before my wife passed away and four years since a very dear friend who I met in the home, also passed on.

Everyone from a wonderful manager, to staff who are very caring towards all the residents. I am 74 on my next birthday. If I have to be taken care of, I would hope my children will put in Yohden Hall Care Home.

My father was in Yohden Hall due to dementia and parkinson's, he had previously been in a care home that we were appalled with the level of care and personal treatment my father received. Yohden Hall was like a breath of fresh air. My father was there for just about a year before he sadly passed away. I cannot fault the care he was given in the last moments of his life he was treated with respect and dignity he deserved.

After visiting my niece in a different care home last year I thought that she could be looked after elsewhere. I had heard by word of mouth that Yohden Hall had a good reputation and as it was easy for me to get to, I checked it out and was very pleased with my first impressions as the home was light and airy with a homely and happy ambience and was pleased when my niece was moved into Yohden Hall in September 2015 and I am now sure it was for the best. My opinion of the home has not changed from my first impression.

Since my wife moved into Yohden Hall Care Home I have all good things to say about it. The staff are all friendly and patient with people. It also appears they have excellent care and co-operation with the local doctors. The nursing staff at the home are also very helpful and very caring. In all it is a very well run home and I wish all the staff all the very best for the future.

Hello, my name is Graham and I am the Home Manager at Yohden Hall.

My goal as Home Manager is dedicated to supporting our residents in accessing purposeful and meaningful opportunities through person-centred care and support. I have worked in the health and social care industry since I was sixteen years old and after almost 25 years plus, I still wake up each morning with a passion to make a positive difference to both the team who I work with and the residents we all have the pleasure of sharing our days supporting and engaging with.
