During the three and a half years my uncle lived at Chasedale Care Home in Blyth he was always very well looked after. Always clean and well fed.

My uncle was treated as though he was part of their family. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff who looked after him and attended to his every need

always with a smile and lots of genuine care for his wellbeing.

My husband has been a resident at Chasedale Care Home for 6 years. This is an excellent home with wonderful staff both to my husband and I. The care they give is excellent. I worked in care myself for 11 years and would have loved to work at Chasedale Care Home. Just one fault I have is that they are
short of staff on my husbands unit as they work very hard and care so much for the residents.

My mother recently passed away after residing at the home for four years. The care and respect given to both myself when visiting and to my mum staying was excellent and at times beyond what is required, with an honest feeling of love towards my mum. She was active within the home and brought laughter
with all the events she took part in which she enjoyed. No matter what time I would call, as I do not live near the area, I was able to talk to staff who were up to date and informed on her condition which allowed me to be comfortable with her stay. Other family members who visited had the same opinion of the quality of service provided, thank you.

I find when we visit the home we are made welcome and stay as long as we wish. Have no reason for complaining.

Sadly my father died in December 2016 at Chasedale. During his last weeks, the support of every member of staff at the home was faultless for him and for his family. I visited at all times of the day and night and was welcomed and supported every time - even offered refreshments by the catering staff
who knew who I was and what was happening. In his last hours, I was unable to get to the home quickly enough and Dad died surrounded by staff who loved him with his main carer holding his hand. This is a huge comfort to me, as were their tears mingled with mine when we arrived later. The Chasedale family mourned his loss as keenly as we did. I cannot speak highly enough of every single person we met during our relationship with Chasedale - their parting words to me "We are your family, you are always welcome here". They meant it and I felt it.

The only issue I would have would be not enough staff to cope. As it takes two to attend showering and if other clients need to be helped to the toilet, they often have accidents while waiting for help and it is most upsetting for them.

We come to the home regularly and everyone who works there always acknowledges you and they are very friendly. The home has a very pleasant smell and is clean. The food is of a high standard.

My father, having resided at Chasedale for over five years, was bravely losing his battle with his vascular dementia and health problems. It was 7 days after the doctor though my father would pass away. Please note the managers, the nurses and the wonderful care staff afforded my father with total respect
and great concern for his comfort right to the last. I feel this care home should be given the recognition it so well deserves. All the staff go that extra mile. Thank you.

The care of our Mum received in the Lindisfarne Wing was exceptional. She was always cared for lovingly. She felt at home here and her needs were met at all times which was very re-assuring to us as a family. We couldn't single out individual members of staff as the whole team, including kitchen and
laundry staff, contributed to high-quality care in a humble environment.

My sister was in Chasedale Nursing Home for 2 and a half years before she died. She received excellent care, was always clean and comfortable, and apart from the care she received, the staff were very loving and caring towards her. She loved them all, and died peacefully in the home, with the girls
caring for her. I can't praise the staff at Chasedale enough, nothing was ever a trouble for them, and I for one am very grateful for the love and care my sister received, and their kindness to me.

Mum has been at Chasedale for a relatively short time and isn't in a position to use all the facilities. The staff are the thing that makes a care home a home and our family have been very impressed with their friendly, personalised approach.

When my relative moved in 9 months ago I thought the home was rather basic and austere but the excellence of the staff and care has resulted in a great improvement to his physical health and wellbeing. I'm really impressed and grateful for the dedication of the staff dealing with many challenging cases.
I now realise that the hard floors and safety measures which was initially off putting to myself are so valuable to the standard of care and beneficial to the dignity of residents.

This is a thank you for all the care given to my husband. My dear late husband had Alzheimer's dementia and had been an inpatient in a centre then a week in another care home where it was felt he would be better in Chasedale care home. We appreciated all the places he was in where we had tremendous
help and support for which I and our family and friends much appreciated. My husband settled well in Chasedale and all were so helpful and kind to him and to me and my family and friends. We had been looking forward to him finding a place we could be together more. Sadly it wasn't to be, he was taken to Wansbeck Hospital with severe chest pains he had bilateral pulmonary emboli. He was a week in Wansbeck where he again had wonderful care also from carers from Chasedale. He died on 30th April we are so grateful for kindness and care shown.
