Resident often left without buzzer and she is a hoisted resident. She has waited over 1 hour and 20 mins for the toilet and gets very frustrated and upset at this. Baths are often missed and once waited over 2 weeks for a bath. Some staff are very caring, some not, but there is never enough staff on the floor, which must be stressful for them. I have often visited and had to make the bed as it has been left all day. Food is poor, cheap, not healthy or nutritious.

My dad has been a resident here since July 2025. The staff have helped him settle in brilliantly and made him feel very welcome. All his needs are more than met in every department. His personal care is handled with dignity and privacy. All staff are very friendly and professional and always make him at ease. We as a family couldn't have asked for better care and are very grateful to every member of staff and management at De Baliol Care Home.

My dad moved into De Baliol in January this year following a bad experience and poor care at previous home. The 1st moment we met the staff and looked around we got a real feel for the place. Since my dad became a resident in there we as a family are much happier and he settled in well. The staff are a breath of fresh air and are all fantastic. They all interact with him and are a credit to the company. We can't thank them all enough for what they do and the support they give my dad. Absolutely fantastic team!!!

From day one my dad was made to feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Staff made a lot of effort getting to know my dad which was a huge relief to us during the early days, it is plain to see that they know him very well now and often match his humour which is amazing to see and so very appreciated. The staff go above and beyond on a daily basis and are always very welcoming and caring with us as a family too which makes all of us feel at ease. We are extremely happy with how it is ran and the communication is great.

My mother was admitted to De Baliol Care Home in July 2025 after a long period in hospital. She celebrated her 90th birthday this year, which in all honesty I didn't see happening last year. My mother says she is happy with the care she receives from the staff at the home and I agree that she has been well looked after since she arrived. De Baliol in my opinion is well managed and has a good atmosphere.

In October when my uncle first went into the care home for respite. The staff were excellent and I noticed how very clean the home was. My uncle has come on excellently. For 24/7 hour care, my wish and I hope he becomes a permanent resident.

My wife is safe, and secure, and is looked after by some first-glass people. The home is clean and well-maintained. At the end of the day, it gives me peace of mind and that is worth a lot.

From day one when my uncle went into the care home he was treated very kindly and we the family, were treated the same, we were given information about his care and the staff helped with various other things for my uncle which they didn't have to do. We are happy that he is being well cared for in a safe environment.

My sister is really comfortable at De Baliol as it is in the village where she was raised. Myself and my sister know quite a few of the staff so she felt at home straightaway. The care home has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.
