The South Bebside Care Home in my opinion is 10/10 excellent the time they all are willing to give for not just residents but families is second to none. They are always trying to motivate & encourage all residents to try new things & are always celebrating every day they can. The top priority in every thing they do is the residents & their comfort wellbeing & dignity.
Thank you for such positive comments in respect to the staff team and the care they provide to the residents and also to families. I will ensure this is passed on to the manager and staff team.
I visit my friend who lives in South Bebside often and find the home to be a very welcoming place, always very clean and tidy, smells nice. The staff are amazing and will go the extra mile for the residents they care for there the best team anyone could wish for for there loved ones.
thank you for your feedback, we are always happy when people visit us and they feel part of the community, you are always welcome as well as any new ideas or things we can improve on in future
Very friendly and helpful staff. Home from home.
thank you for been a part of our journey, this feedback helps us improve and continue to give our utmost to everyone that is part of South Bebside Family
My grandma is a resident here at South bebside , she is well cared for all her care needs are met with support and dignity from all of the staff. My grandma has came out of her shell and is making friends with the residents which is lovely to see and also getting involved with the activities that Dawn and home provide. I can't thank Jackie the home manager enough for the support and guidance she gives to our family and listening to our needs for our grandma. My grandma is always looking presentable and her bedroom kept immaculate. The food choices are great and so much selection for the residents with all the little added extra bits that come out throughout the day on the tea trolley.
thank you for the feedback, we have an amazing team at South bebside and always aim to go above and beyond
Absolutely excellent standard of care and cleanliness. The staff are faultless in their care and attention. The care home manager is so friendly, supportive and approachable. Adjustments were happily made to accommodate a restricted palate, and every effort is made to ensure my Lady is eating properly. There are plenty of activities for the residents to do, and all of the residents are very well presented (no messy hair or dirty clothes). Nobody seems to be left out (unless they prefer to be left alone) and everyone is welcome in the communal areas, or they are free to have five minutes to themselves in their own room. I couldn't recommend a better place for a loved one to retire.
thank you for your kind word we much appreciate your support and welcome to the south bebside family
Full marks to the staff at South Bebside. They are so proactive in marking celebrations for the benefit of the residents. Thank you for all your hard work and for supporting my brother.
P.s. just visited since I wrote the last review. My brother's room was spotlessly clean. Everything in his toilet are was neat and tidy and well stocked.
I can tell by his demeanour and his overall appearance that he is well cared for and is happy with his new surroundings. Great feedback from the manager today. She is doing a sterling job-many thanks.
Thank you so much for your kind words, its makes a huge difference
Our sister required emergency residential care following the sudden death of her husband who had been her full time carer and she moved into South Bebside. Helen was only 63 at the time and the wonderful staff at South Bebside took great care and quality time to get to know Helen to enable them to meet all her needs. Helen lived at South Bebside for over two years and was very happy there. The staff are a close team and communicate effectively with each other to ensure residents and their families are happy and cared for in a safe and compassionate manner.
All people in all roles from managers, carers, receptionist, activities coordinator, kitchen staff, housekeeping and handyman are welcoming and enthusiastic to make South Bebside a homely environment for the residents.
Escalation of concerns for my sister during illness or injury from falls was very good and we felt informed and kept up to date at all times.
A big thank you to all at South Bebside
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for you heartfelt comments. We wish your sister well and are looking forward to hearing all the lovely things on her new adventure.
My mum went to South Bebside on respite over a 18 months ago. It was quite clear she needed help for more than a few weeks. She's made it her new home. The staff are brilliant and have all been there a long time. I think this shows how happy the staff are to be there. They care for mum so well. Nothing is too much trouble: the meals are amazing. She even gets served breakfast in bed. It's like a 5*hotel and that's exactly where she thinks she's living..
thank you for your ongoing support for everyone at South Bebside
Since Mum was admitted in July 2024 she has been cared for by an amazing team of staff from carers, caterers, & cleanders. They all know her needs & likes and treat her like family. I feel reassured at all times that she is safe and happy & well fed. She enjoys being able to walk about the various facilities & rooms (lounge, dining room, conservatory or her room, freely).
thank you for you very kind feedback as well as your ongoing support for the care home

My mam came to South Bebside Care Home 1st May 2025 for respite with the view to long term/ permanent.I was very undecided whether to do this but I've never looked back, the staff are fabulous, rooms very spacious, lovely lounge/ dayroom and very pleasant family conservatory. The meals are lovely and plentiful and lots if choice.Mam is a very private person who doesn't mix but she is joining in, going in day trips, hairdresser and nails painted every week.Im over the moon with my decision as all staff are very approachable very friendly and go that extra mile to help.

South Bebside is very homely with a lovely atmosphere , the management and the staff can't be more helpful and are very friendly , they treat the residents like their own family with respect and dignity , there are always great activities going on and some residents go on an outing every week making it a special day for them , they help the residents to engage with each other to make them all feel welcome , when you walk in you get a warm friendly atmosphere and I just can't fault it or the care my relative received from the brink of death from one care home to back on her feet to go to her own home , it's just a wonderful place to stay and if you ask other residents they will say they are very happy there , if you do get a place here consider yourself very lucky , it's the best home in Blyth in my eyes , you can go anytime of the day and the standard of care never changes , it's a fabulous home 10 out of 10 .
thank you very much for your feedback as always we strive to make everyone welcome
My stepdad was in there for respite. All the staff were so lovely with him. They made sure he was engaging in all the activities and they were always smiling and happy with all the residents. The manageress was so lovely to deal with, nothing ever a problem. It was clean and homely and it didn't matter what time of day you went, you were welcomed and all the residents were happy. This home is definitely an 11/10 for sure.
